I'm a big fan of movies and I especially love action films.

I enjoy great dialog and talented directors such as John Huston.

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, starring Humphrey Bogart fits the bill. Although it is an older film it is still one of the best films ever made. A fantastic look at the psychology of men who are under stress.

This is drama at its best. It is set in 1925 Mexico and the 2 main characters are "down and outers" living on the streets of Tampico. When they are down to their last few centavos they check into a flea bag hotel and come across an old man (Walter Huston, John Huston's natural father) who tells them about gold prospecting in the wilds. The 2 men are intrigued.

I'll not give away the plot, but it is well worth your while to check it out.

can be seen for free on gomovies. OR it can be rented on Amazon Prime videos for only $3 USD

That line is recognized (and repeated) by millions of fans everywhere.

I like the old Bogart movies...especially those with Peter Lorey.

"Laura" is a good flick from the "film noir" era you should check out.

Is there a lot of action ? Well, not really. but quite enjoyable none the less. A classic film noir.
One of the things I rate movies by is: Are the characters believable ? In this case, absolutely yes.

Though set in 1925, the film was not made until 1948.

Great Bogart film, only other that I place as high is the duo with Catherine Hepburn and The African Queen. Now I can't stand Hepburn because of her voice, it sounds like dragging someones finger nails on a chalk board. She seriously gives me the hives when I hear her voice.

I saw it and yes it was very good. Another is Sahara where Bogart plays a tank commander in North Africa during WWII.

That was a good movie, filmed during WWII and the equipment used was plentiful and real spoils.
