I think we need an Administration that will fight for the United States, her Constitution, and Laws (and put forth the new laws to deal with new and present problems like illegals).

France is now dealing with the long-term consequences of mass immigration. Paris and several other cities under martial law by accounts I have read. Police being killed and buildings being set afire.

Well unregulated immigration brings "anyone" into a country, and we already have a huge problem, many of us just haven't had a first-hand taste of it, but we'll be hearing those accounts soon even from members of this forum.

I like this guy’s calm presentation but it is difficult to not become increasingly angry as his talk unfolds.

The video makes a great deal of sense. Though I could not have put it so clearly, I have known this has been happening for many, many years.

There are hundreds of sanctuary cities scattered throughout the U.S. which actively protect illegal aliens from federal law enforcement.

In California, for example, illegal aliens do not need to prove any citizenship in order to get a CA driver licence. All they need is some piece of mail, addressed to them, with a CA address, and then pass a written test (in spanish) and then pass a short driver test. The issuance of a valid CA drivers licence is all but automatic.

Workers who are employed at various CA social services agencies, like food stamps, are forbidden to ask any question about their nationality.

The Denver sheriff’s department will pay a $10,000 fine and will have to sort through old applications to identify people who were eliminated from consideration because they were not U.S. citizens

The Denver Sheriff Department has run afoul of the U.S. Department of Justice because it made U.S. citizenship a job requirement for its deputies during a hiring spree in 2015 and early 2016. Under the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Act, the sheriff’s department should have considered job applications from any work-authorized immigrant. Instead, the department made citizenship a job requirement in its employment postings.

It's not an illegal immigration issue, but still...

These are law-enforcement slots, not administrative roles.

And this is exactly why we make good rope and grow great trees. I guess it won't be us but someone will finally grow a pair one day when they are declared illegal when they step outside their homes.

Immigration is a "tactic" issue. There are the real issues around immigration. And there are folks shouting about immigration because it is an issue that raises a lot of anger...and the pols love to do that, because it helps them secure votes.

I forgot the exact years...but here's a statistic that the pols don't want you to know. Over the last 10 years or so, the net immigration between the US and Mexico has been NEGATIVE!!! Yes, that means that more Mexicans in the US, went back to Mexico, than Mexicans leaving Mexico for the US.

If I remember, it was because industry in Mexico improved. Jobs increased and a lot of Mexicans in the US, felt opportunities for them were now better in their own country, or, at least, competitive enough, that they preferred to go back to be near their families.

But that is not the kind of statistic that gets people angry about immigration. So, the pols don't push that actual fact. And the media also does not push that fact. The media tends to only push stories that get people riled up. A story about some Mexican farm worker, going back to Mexico, because he'd rather be around Grandma's cooking, is not scary enough...so those kinds of stories don't get reported.

To cut through the lies, you really have to go directly into government reports from the various countries, reports from news organizations outside the US, reports from the UN.

Otherwise, we are just getting highly spun reports to serve some political agenda.

You know, like "The Bogeyman" is coming. Any time you hear some story that "The Bogeyman" is coming...it is likely some kind of exaggeration.

The US has been dealing with serious immigration issues right from the founding of the country. The country hasn't collapsed yet and is not likely too any time soon and certainly not as the result of immigration.

As far as economic devastation? Might want to look into the endless scams our rich people and rich corporations ply. The billionaires often don't pay a single dime in taxes. That pulls billions and billions of dollars out of our economy. That could fund endless programs that could help us. Endless.

And the rich corporations? Plenty of them pay no taxes or next to no taxes. That is a HUGE scam...easily in the hundreds of billions of dollars per year.

Whatever is going on with immigration, it is peanuts compared to these large scams.

    from The Wall Street Journal...

"The share of large, profitable companies paying no corporate taxes was 34% in 2018, up from the five-year average of 25%."

How did we get to immigration from train derailments? I'm pretty sure we have an immigration thread around here somewhere.

immigrants have been used by anyone needing cheap labor, more votes, whatever those in the know needed.
Sound of Freedom is a movie coming out about the horrors of child trafficing for those who won't watch FOX news.

Tyson Foods is laying off or firing thousands of American workers and replacing them with illegals who will work cheaper. An estimated 13 to 20 million illegals have crossed the border under Biden's watch. That is enough to shift the power in Congress by adding House delegates in the dozens to Blue states. The Supreme Court has given Texas the ability to enforce their immigration laws in a great, but perhaps temporary win for Texas and the U.S.

Dunno but did the Biden administration also throw out the I-9 form?
For those unfamiliar with it, it deals with the right to work in the United States. A person has to have 2 forms of Identification such as a social security card and a driver’s license proving that they are legitimately able to be employed in the U.S.

If perchance a business were to be inspected and there are employees on board who haven’t been properly processed, the employer faces huge fines of up to 5K per employee who isn’t documented.

Not to be counted as ignorant, I have worked in restaurants which have an entire utilities staff consisting of Haitian, Cuban, Mexican etc workers who are paid in cash and only have a single mutual social security card among them and the restaurant gets away with it.
That said, it is still the State and Federal governments who are responsible for making yearly inspections of those businesses which are known to hire indiscriminately such as restaurants, construction sites, slaughter houses and agricultural businesses.

Note: At one time I was applying for a position at a restaurant and I had misplaced my social security card (it was in another wallet) and couldn’t start working until I produced said card….
Yet, the dish rack room was filled with undocumented workers who were paid cash every week whilst we documented citizens had to wait 2 weeks for a check.
Also note; After viewing how they were paid versus how American citizens were paid, I quit.

My understanding is that "temporary" working permits are being issued to illegals if they encounter the Feds. With the recent decision by the Supreme Court, Texas is now deporting those caught by Texas first. Mexico has declared they would not allow their citizens to be re-patriated. The Feds actually caught a member of Hezbollah who announced his mission was to go to New York and build a bomb. He did not say what was to be blown up as far as I know. I also saw that Texas found a Columbian drug lord running his drug business from within a migrant camp in Texas. He allegedly was on the Interpol ten most wanted list, but he was passed through by the feds who didn't even check with Interpol or take fingerprints. It is part of Biden's "stringent vetting process" for those released into the country unsupervised. I don't know when all these cells will be activated, but putting them into food processing plants opens possibilities of wide-spread poisoning or contamination. A lot of the Tyson chicken fingers and such are targeted to children in the U.S. and that could be a sad day if the crickets and cockroaches used by Tyson in their products were contaminated with typhoid or some other such pathogen.

Forgive me for some stinkin’ thinkin’ but when the illegals start taking the jobs of American Citizens in processing plants and such, there will be enough ticked off people out there who will band together and start blowing up and burning down plants, factories and anything else they feel is a threat to the back pockets of American families.

It’s a given that blowing something up doesn’t solve the problem of unemployment that that’s the way wars are started, governments are toppled and countries fall into total anarchy.
