    2 scrambled eggs, 1 corn tortilla , large banana, few black berries ,usual coffee

    We eat a lot of 'weeds' --wild foods.
    Mostly I boil up burdock stems or roots to make lovely, healthful vegetable broth and a veggie. But, not being up to digging and prepping the roots this year, I bought pound bags of dried, cut, and sifted roots. You can make them as tea, which I do, but then I eat the leavings.:rolleyes:

    Monday to Friday:Oatmeal with ground flax that I add and raspberries,blackberries and blueberries with a little almond milk,weekends :it's just whatever I want,usually Greek yogurt (3% for extra protein)and of course a teeny bit of maple syrup and berries.

    My mother used to make it. Equal part of egg, milk and flour. mixed together and poured into a screeching hot cast iron skillet containing the drippings from the roast beef. It puffs up. I believe you gotta be careful to not open the door as it bakes, or it may fall like a soufflé.

    The trick is the "equal parts" process. My mother claimed she could never write down the recipe because it's "by feel."

    Ohhhhhh.... I've made that. but started with the pan cold. When it cooked and then collapsed I filled the center with cherry, apple or whatever we had pie filling.
    Or shepherd's pie filling.
    Now I need to run down and find my cast iron skillet.

    I had a hardboiled egg, 1/2 piece of whole wheat toast topped with Taco Bell Mild Salsa Con Queso, a few green grapes, and coffee.

    Hedi, I've learned the hard way, breakfast indeed is the most important meal of the day. So, I never skip breakfast nor lunch or dinner, and eat those meal close to the same time each and every day.

    Cindi we all learned that and the food pyramid, Right? But as I am getting older, I have switched over to Dr Berg's true keto diet which cuts out breakfast. It is especially helpful for people with health issues and it works. It involves going as long as possible between meals. and cutting out all sugars/processed foods. It allows a cup of coffee at breakfast but I usually overdo coffee.:rolleyes:

    I agree, @Mary Stetler , and I am also doing a low carb/keto eating plan with intermittent fasting, and it works great for me as well, and I feel better when I do this. I have cut out all sugars, and grains and legumes for the most part, and eat more veggies and salads.
    Because of my kidney failure, I can’t eat too much protein either, so I track everything that I eat and drink in the Lose It app on my iPad.
    Since we go to the fitness center in the mornings, I am able to do my hour of swimming in a fasted state, too, which helps promote autophagy.
