True, and Senate elections are relatively easy to fix, but not as easy as a Presidential election. House elections are almost impossible to rig, at least in large numbers.
Trump has announced he will skip the Republican "debates" and instead hold a rally in support of the UAW. Since he is now leading the second place DeSantis by 46% in the latest Wall Street poll, he still sees no need to participate in an exercise designed to discredit him. The fact that he has transformed the Republican electorate and is "converting" many traditional Democrat constituencies such as Hispanics, Blacks (especially Black men), and working class people is making establishment folks on both sides of the aisle unhappy and prepared to do literally anything they can to destroy him.
That UAW move is an interesting one. I wonder if this is just a general freeing of the Democrat captives, or if Trump is jerking specific chains...or both.
He directed his announcement to the UAW. In the announcement he said something to the effect that 'the push for EVs was going to put UAW workers out of jobs and those jobs were going to China under Joe's "China First Policy" of blatant corrupt.' Not a direct quote but close.
I wasn't sure which side of the EV issue Trump was on. Ford pushed back on the UAW's demands in part because they could not afford the wage hikes AND the investment in EV manufacturing. I imagine the EV issue is one reason why the UAW was pushing for job guarantees. And Trump is right about Biden...China First.
They’re going to keep pushing their agenda until they push manufacturers over a cliff. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/katie...ing-amount-of-money-on-electric-cars-n2628679
I now see Trump's team has won a decision from an Obama-appointed judge to throw out a 14th amendment suit against Trump to disqualify him to run in 2024. She decided that the Democrats who brought the suit had no standing to do so, and that there have been no links between Trump and any violence that took place on Jan. 6. I think that is quite a victory for Mr. Trump from a Democrat-appointed Federal judge.
Man, President Trump hasn't lost any of his strength at all! What a dynamite speech he's doing "live" right now, South Carolina Rally. He's making some great promises, and I believe he will keep them. What a crowd too, you can hear how big it is. I'll put the link, probably someone already has but just in case you want to get in on it. I didn't know it was on today:
The judge did not determine the 14th Amendment's applicability in Trump's case. Instead, she ruled that the plaintiffs, attorney Lawrence Caplan and two others, lacked "standing" to even bring the challenge. To have standing, a party must show an “injury in fact” to their own legal interests. In other words, has the party itself “suffered” some sort of actual harm? Doesn't say she won't eventually rule in your favor, but technically that was the decision.
That is something that is just beyond me. Way too many cases get thrown out for lack of standing. You would think after all this time that lawyers would know by now when that is the situation. I guess they just push taking the case for the money. Regardless, good news this time.
