Thanks, everyone! It has been a crazy couple of months.

I tried to find the coffee jokes thread but I guess I'm out of practice, so I'll just post this here.

There's a thread on jokes and this is one I appreciate. It doesn't hit you in the face like a whipped cream pie, it comes at you roundabout.

Lots of family mini-dramas lately. Sigh. The probate of my MIL's will is going to be a drawn-out process but thankfully she did have a valid will. Then the estate auction for most of her "stuff" after family members have sifted through. And finally selling her house and vehicles. Death can certainly be a complicated business. We took some flowers to her (and FIL's) grave site a few days ago. It's a pretty place but being there reinforced my wishes to be cremated and remain "above ground."

Sadly, our youngest daughter is going through some marital issues and honestly I hope she will decide to move on. I have never been a big fan of the son-in-law but as long as he was good to her that was all I cared about. Apparently lately he hasn't been so good to her and I'm not happy about it, but it's their drama to play out while we watch from the sidelines and let her know we are always in her corner.

For the third year in a row, our landscaping has been destroyed by weather. (Two hard freezes and this year extreme heat and drought.) I was reading that it is best to start new hedges/shrubs in the fall, so we will be heading to the nursery next week to get some new plantings and mulch. Half of the front lawn is dead so we'll probably have to re-sod that next spring.

I think I'll just start putting my stolen jokes in this thread. I get tired of trying to figure out which one of the other threads to use. :p

I can't ever recall which ones I snagged from here and which I got elsewhere.

I'm sure there's a great deal of "recycling" going on. I'd be surprised if there are any youtube videos left that aren't linked here somewhere. :p

Which reminds me... :CAUTION--RANT ALERT: I have used an ad blocker for years, enjoying youtube videos without pesky interruption of 10 minutes of annoying ads in 5 minute videos. Recently they started "warning" me that I MUST disable the ad blocker or no more videos for me.

Well. You know how that went over. Being the original "cut off my nose to spite my face" person, I jump over to the Edge browser where I don't log onto any freakin' GOOGLE product and watch the videos in peace. A big ole' raspberry to youtube and their ads. :p:p:p

I don't like to use the same graphics that have already made an appearance here.

I've been hearing people complain about the new No Ad Blocker policy. Dunno how they roll it out over time versus everyone being impacted at the exact same time. I don't understand your comment regarding using the Edge browser. Is that because you don't have Ad Block installed on it?

I do have an ad blocker on Edge; I just don't log in to anything. On youtube, you have to be logged in with Google to have favorites, subscriptions, "watch later", etc. so those options are not available to me on Edge but I can watch a video in peace.

I could do the same thing on Firefox but all my familiar stuff is set up and I don't want to be logging off and on, clearing cookies, etc.

I suspect the reason for their no ad blocker policy is that they are trying to sell premium subscriptions to YouTube, in which there are no ads.
