I can honestly say that I've never had to make a To Do List....what I need to do I have always rememberd and my to do's have been pretty simple, as that's How I Live, Simple. And thinking back over my life I think I've had 1 or 2 grocery lists. Again, when I walk thru stores I knew what I needed or wanted. And in the cart the stuff went. I have a friend who is alone, owns a little house thru a divorce settlement. and she forever talks about her To Do List.....she deals with OCD also. What say you all, I believe most here live pretty Large.....
I used to have sizable To-Do lists when I was working and we had sled dogs and livestock, but now I have few things to tend to, but I still forget to do much of what I should do. I think I spend too much time on SOC when I should be working on something. We still have grocery lists for our twice monthly shopping, but those are my wife's issue.
I haven't had a "to-do" list since I retired. While working I did need to keep up with projects, meetings, etc. so I used a day planner. I use the calendar on my electronics to keep up with special occasions, birthdays, etc. I seldom make a grocery list, but since I order groceries delivered I can go onto the grocery store website and add items to upcoming deliveries as I think of things I need. I can't remember the last time I set foot in a grocery store.
I have always kept a list of things I needed to buy. Whenever I see something is getting low, I put it on my list. I'm very organized.
I'm organized and don't forget things, but with t he slowed down body I live in, I don't sweat the disorganized clean mess.
I have always used a List of things that need to be remembered for the week.Plus my grocery app is wonderful and have used for years. I put what items cost on it and before I go to store or order anything, have good idea as to what i will spend. I am like Shirley Martin ..organized
This would be me. I keep a magnetic dry erase board on my fridge and note things that I'm out of or that are getting low. I'd be lost in a grocery store without my list, especially when picking up stuff for specific dishes.
I figure that if I don’t do what needs to be done, it’s because my wife didn’t think it was important enough to remind me to do it.
This one really struck a cord with me as when working on often quite technical stuff I rarely had to refer back to the 'instructions' but sadly I now need notes to myself for even the most simple things. Some days are better than others and I am very aware that there are folks way worse of than I but it get bloody annoying when ya cant remember where ya put the note.....
I keep a running grocery list on a post-it pad, on the counter under the phone. Yep we still use a landline phone on the wall in the kitchen. No cell phones here at the Luddites house.
I used to write down grocery lists; but now that I do most of the grocery shopping online, I just add things to the grocery order on Walmart+ until I am ready to send in an order. Then, I usually look around in the refrigerator and cupboards to see if there is something else we need that I have not put on the list, and if there is, then I add it on . Walmart always has a list of things I usually order, so my last check is to look through that list and make sure that I am not forgetting something I needed and forgot about . Items other than groceries mostly come from Amazon, so we seldom even go to any store, unless it is a quick stop off at the dollar store for something on our way home from the fitness center. The to-do stuff just gets done when it gets done, for the most part; so I do not make lists about that either, but I do put it on my iPad calendar if it is something like a doctor appointment, or important phone call, which is shared by Bobby. We also try to remind each other of things we intend to do, so between Bobby and I , we pretty much do not need any written notes.
