According to Holden Armenta's mother, Shannon Armenta, his Grandfather, Raul Armenta is American Indian and does appear on the tribes website as a member of the tribal board. The Santa Ynez Mission Indians are a federally recognized tribe, indigenous to California. They are also enrolled in the Tejon Indian Tribe of California. You can see the Grandpa's photo and info on this link. He certainly looks American Indian to me. https://chumash.gov/government
No, it is Holdens father, Bubba Armenta, and his Grandfather, Raul. Not sure of the mothers ethnicity.
I don't know how anyone can tell anything from the "factual articles" online. The boy has been said to be 5 years old, 10 years old, and 12 years old. Indian and not Indian. Good grief who cares? I hope his family will sue that ridiculous "journalist" who started this ridiculous pointless mess, defaming a child.
You're right. I was misled by a report where the mother mentioned his grandfather and living on the reservation.
Somewhere, somehow there sits a media person ready to pounce, so be careful of what you do, say or even think, or you too will be publicly skewered.
Well, it seems like today, and in the future, most anything a person does/wears/says is called "racist". Then again, some of it definitely is, no matter what the age of the person is.
No, I’m afraid that the so called race war is against the caucasians. Any other race can say, write and do what they wish in regard to another race but if a white guy says anything bad about someone of another race it is considered racist and all hell breaks loose. Just writing this one post, I could be considered to be a racist by some ne’er do well in the media. Frankly, if more people sued for defamation, perhaps the media would start doing some investigative reporting instead of knee jerk sensationalism.
