How is your patience towards friends or relatives these days? I have more patience in traffic than my wife does, but that is starting to dwindle quite fast here.

When I'm sitting in a restaurant and the table is close to another table where Spanish is totally being spoken, I'm patient, but really want to say something. I don't, but I do want to.

When dealing with my 80 year old SIL (wife's older sister), I definitely know why I have never, and would never, work in a Nursing Home or Assisted Living Facility. She's constantly asking me questions about whatever and talking about someone who died. She will tell anyone how much she hates her deceased husband that she was married to for 30 plus years. She is currently visiting us, but staying at a Timeshare (thank God). My patience with her sure can wear thin!

    So, how are your patience?

My level of patience is directly proportionate to the number of witnesses in the room.

Seriously though, I’m old and I doubt if I am expected to be as patient as I am.
I’m patient with people who are trying and impatient with people who do not try at all.
I’m patient with those who use reason and impatient with those who will not think for themselves.
Continual carelessness will merit little to no patience whilst the well prepared deserve respect.
I may BE a patient in a doctor’s office but I am never patient whilst in one.

The list goes on but I trust that everyone gets the gist.

As I may have mentioned before, the older I get the more patience I have for those who deserve it, and the less patience I have for those who don't. So much depends on the intent of the [potentially] offending party.

I think that's the right direction.

I am very patient, especially with my annoying relatives.

Be patient with her, Cody. Us old folks need all the patience we can get. :)

I keep myself in seclusion so I don't have to deal with patience.

I am losing patience big time with this dang new dog of his! @Cody Fousnaugh we have virtually no one to lose patience with here in Tiny Town. Traffic is not issue here- thank goodness. I agree though with Shirley, you need to try and be patient with the rambling, bitter ole gal. Least you do not live with her,and it is only for a little time you have to deal with her. @Shirley Martin - I lose patience with myself more than anyone else. Dropping things, can'r open or close things properly just to name a few. I can not even type correctly, always having to go back and correct!:):(:p

I met an old man in the grocery store today during Senior Shopping. When thanked by a store employee who was blocking the aisle for his patience, he told the young man he had lots of patience as he hadn't used any yet.

Dear Lord, grant me patience. And can you do it as quickly as possible?

I am much more patient now than I used to be. Only a few people get my goat and I know who they are, so it's easy to avoid them. :p

People used to stay out of my way because they knew I could pick them up and throw them. Maybe now they avoid me because I am whiney?
