My mom had me do something similar when I was congested as a child. She boiled water and sprinkled cayenne powder in to the pan of water and had me close my eyes and breathe in the cayenne fumes with my head under the towel.
    It definitely worked !

I might add for those that want to save money, that the Tylenol Sinus can be bought in generic brands for much less money. Just make sure it says, Compare with Tylenol Sinus. The ingredients are exactly the same and in many cases come from the same place that manufactures Tylenol. They do runs for Wal Mart, Safeway, and some others using different names.

I always find the major brand that works for me, then look for the chains own brand with "Compare With" on the box. Compare the ingredients for yourself and save money. According to my old pharmacist, there is no difference and any claims of noticing a difference, are purely psychological.

I can't take such sinus or cold meds because of my glaucoma. I noticed an increase in sinus problems from the time I started using eye drops for glaucoma. My best relief is a heat pad and one cup black coffee.

I went to my PCP about the muscle spasms last February when they didn't find anything that might cause it. I had a slightly elevated creatine kinase that the doctor did not seem at all concerned about.

Yes, I did have the spasms during chemo. I also had an accelerated heart rate at that time and was started on metoprolol. I'm still taking the beta blocker and I've just sent a message to my PCP to see how to best discontinue that. I read that in some cases the metoprolol can cause muscle cramping. I have had so much insult to my body tissues in the past couple of years that it's hard to pin down cause/effect. For a long time I thought the cramps were just residual "parting gifts" from cancer treatment... including radiation. And of course, that is still a real possibility.

This sounds weird, but my husband bought the regular Tylenol Sinus Headache medicine and also the Tylenol Sinus "Severe" medicine. The "severe" did not help at all! Only the regular stuff works for me.
