I don’t recall seeing any Medicare questions about guns before (We’re both mid-70s). I don’t have a military record though. Is that maybe the difference?

One day on Venus is 243 Earth days. I usually go with that. "Twice a day."

I go to the doctor every six months. It wasn’t on the eCheckIn in June. The entire questionnaire is about 8 pages and, in my opinion, very intrusive.

Ah, should have done some research. This isn’t a physical, it’s a “Yearly Wellness Visit.” I’ll be telling my doctor I won’t be doing these anymore.
Ah, here’s the answer: The decision to pay for annual Medicare wellness exams rather than an annual physical exam does not mean that annual physicals are unimportant. Rather, it would seem that the federal government believes annual wellness visits are more important to a Medicare beneficiary's long-term health.
    Yearly "Wellness" visits

If you’ve had Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance)
Part B covers certain doctors' services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventive services.

    " style="box-sizing: inherit;">

    Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance)
for longer than 12 months, you can get a yearly “Wellness” visit to develop or update your personalized plan to help prevent disease or disability, based on your current health and risk factors. The yearly “Wellness” visit isn’t a physical exam.

Your first yearly “Wellness” visit can’t take place within 12 months of your Part B enrollment or your “Welcome to Medicare” preventive visit. However, you don’t need to have had a “Welcome to Medicare” preventive visit to qualify for a yearly “Wellness” visit.”

Our Humana plan gives points for any of the checkups that we have done, and then you can get gift cards from the reward points, so we always do the little wellness checkup each year.
We just changed over from Humana to Devoted Health, and they also give rewards for things like the wellness check, bone density scan, and other little things that medicare wants done each year.
I am in favor of everything that helps me to keep better track of my health, so I will continue to do these.

Tee hee hee...Just cancelled my Tuesday "Wellness Check" appointment via My Chart then went back in to schedule a regular six month follow-up and got the same appointment I just cancelled. Sometimes I love computers.

Why not? One thing I miss about my old GP was the extensive annual physical he gave. The Wellness Check is cursory a best, but it's better than nothing.

And I've yet to be asked about firearms.

The "wellness check" doesn't include any physical or any other medical tests. It's basically a conversation and questionnaire. As quoted above...

    Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance)
...you can get a yearly “Wellness” visit to develop or update your personalized plan to help prevent disease or disability, based on your current health and risk factors. The yearly “Wellness” visit isn’t a physical exam.

I have an annual physical and blood work but it is not the same as this "Wellness" visit.

I haven't seen this either, but there are others like it each time you visit a doctor. I merely state, "nothing new." blow into the examing room and await his highness.

I've been trying to think if there is anything at all that I like better about doctors now than there used to be years ago and I finally came up with one. It's the ability to schedule and change appointments online.
