The best way ti beat the downright nothing short of scammers on eBay is to leave them negative reviews I pretty much ovoid any sellers with a bucket load of negative reviews ….but if you look closely at some sellers items ..say hat elastic for the propose of picking out something ……. ..some sellers appear to have multiple user names . I’ve bought quite a bit of stuff from TEMU I would have looked on eBay for in the past …and I’ve not had one issue or been disappointed in what I’ve bought , I recently bought colour changing solar lights for my back garden they are beautiful ( pack of 2 for $8) and a nice size ( I bought 6 lights )
I love the "ends of a spectrum" on this product. Some people will pay an outrageous price. Others might use it as a doorstop.
They do look very similar, Kate. The O-Cedar mop has excellent reviews. I will buy another one when mine ever wears out.
I often post reviews on products & services. Many times, the seller or contractor makes it right after they read it. Last year, I had a roofing company replace my roof. They tried to rip me off by charging me for twice the wood they replaced. When they saw my Yelp review, they refunded me the extra charge if I deleted the review. A couple of greedy plumbing & tree removal companies learned the hard way. I also warn contractors that I will review their services on several websites & I suggest they read some of my negative reviews if they're considering taking shortcuts or overcharging me.. They're usually careful to be fair with me.
I copied the name of your bucket and put it into Google and it came up on Aust Amazon …. but yet to check shipping price altho my neighbour has Amazon prime and if I want something thats covered by free postage for him ….I get him to order it for me After all he’s also the Aust post parcel delivery man in the area @Beth Gallagher it certainly has good reviews https://www.amazon.com.au/Cedar-Easywring-Microfiber-Bucket-Cleaning/dp/B00WSWGVZQ?th=1
The latest update on my missing fruitcake is that now the mail person seems to have lost it. I got a notice from eBay that it was delivered yesterday. It did not show up in my post office email, although checking the tracking did say that it was out for delivery. At this point, I have no clue where it went, and do not expect to ever receive it or get a refund from the seller. If the mail people gave it to the wrong address, we are likely to never get it at all. Oh, well, Christmas is over, it is almost time for new years and getting back to eating healthy foods and not fruitcake, anyway.
Most of the reviews are positive, fast shipping, stuff like that. Ones that said not received were replaced or refunded; so it looked okay when I ordered. Bobby talked with our mailman, and he said he would check at the post office and see; but i think that after taking this long for shipping, now the mailman left it at the wrong house.
The mailman found no record of our package ever being at the post office; so I now believe that since the company is in Texas, and tracking said it was shipped from California, that even the tracking number was fake. I just filed an appeal with ebay. At this point, I doubt that anything will ever come of this; but since I believe that the sellers are probably scamming people, it seemed like it was a good idea to report it to ebay anyway.
I've heard more than one person claim that when they leave a negative review, the seller contacts them and tries to bribe the buyer into removing that bad review (usually offering a credit or free product.) If a seller tried to do that with me, I'd report them. Regarding sellers under multiple accounts: I've seen that on Amazon. The same product with the exact same picture filling up an entire page of search results. It's highly annoying to get 25 pages of results when each product could be displayed just once and only need 4 pages. There should be a way to filter by picture, and once I find something I like, I can then go shop for price.
I seldom read any reviews that state up front that the person received a complimentary item to review... Unless they are negative.
Did you track the package on the USPS website? Very curious and shady. I looked at that seller and they have Panetone for sale for about 2X what it sells for from Amazon. Which made me want Panetone, so I ordered a loaf.
