More of the town square …if you look closely you will see a bronze statue of two wombats …That’s because …….wombats were the first to discover copper in the area
OK I’ve just got back from our 3.5 km walk down the beach one way ,we took a back street coming home it’s so windy and walking into the wind is like being a sandblasting machine This is just further up the hill from the old pumping station ( see remains of station on left ) where the mines got thier water.
A couple of photos of one of the many caravan / cabin parks near me I looked up our towns population it’s 5.500 or there about …..it swells it approx 20.000 Christmas filling places like this over looking the beach This is walking distance from home , the cabins were built during lock down periods so were ready for the hoards of tourists to flock here ( and other places ) when restrictions were lifted it doesn't matter when we walk past this caravan / cabin park lots of the cabins seem to be occupied holiday times or not … The combined C / C park is council ( local goverment owned ) they bought the motel behind the park to build the cabins I’ve heard on the grapevine the cost is $450 a night 2 adults + 2 kids
You can just see the old motel on right of photo ( still operating ) that the local council bought to build the cabins
Thank you @Ken Anderson it’s always good to get a little feedback so I’m not boring members by posting the same area photos It’s where we walk , and I love water / green life ….think it comes from growing up in desert like conditions in NSW .
It's not just that the scenes are of an area and a country I will likely never see, but that they are also very good photos.
They are taken with my phone Ken IPhone 12 , hubs has a iPhone 12 Pro it has a better camera , altho he didn’t buy it especially for the camera he wanted to better one so he could connect his hearing aids to the phone
I posted a close up photo of this part of the limestone cliff on page 2 …..this is what it looks like at a distance of about 1 km away ( today )
