I think the unfamiliar and unusual hurts political candidates. Beyond that, starting at the top isn't an American concept. I understand that Ramaswamy is a very successful man in ways that matter but he might have done better to run for governor first. Everything about him, good or bad, will be familiar by the next round of elections. If he's still a solid conservative by then and if I'm still around I will probably vote for him, assuming we are still allowed to vote.

I wasn’t aware of the Soros scholarship. Any association with the Soros name is not helpful to a GOP candidate because people never bother to get the entire story.

Basically, he was a kid who went for a scholarship. He didn't look into the benefactors back then, only that it would help him get his schooling. Early in his run someone dug it up with the name attached. Any dirt is fair game.
He is successful and a go getter, Like Trump. who also started at the top of the political game. One of they things they tried to use against him too.

Trump didn't have a lot of political experience before he ran for president, although he briefly ran on a 3rd-party ticket a couple of elections before, but Trump did have a lot more name recognition than Vivek did, and he likely had more political connections.

Trump kinds threw him under the bus when he thought he might take enough votes away form him to put him under 50%, as the media has said that if Trump didn't draw at least 50% of the vote in Iowa he would have failed, even though that had never been done in the history of the Iowa caucus. The most the caucus has been won by (over the #2 finisher) I think I heard was 12%. Trump doubled that record from what I saw last night. I think Vivek and Donald are kindred sprits with the good of the country foremost in mind.

:Trump will probably offer Vivek a job in his administration, but I don’t think it will be VP. It might be something financial.

Of course we are all assuming Trump will be the candidate and be elected. I hope so but the Democrats will stop at nothing. I think they are realizing they can’t beat him. Can they steal another presidential election or will they choose another way to stop Trump?

Is the effort to stop Trump bigger than the Democrats? Is it international?

Or have I read too many mysteries?

Oh, I think the anti-Trump movement is much more widespread than the U.S. There are Progressive movements throughout the West that are threatened by the more conservative movements around the globe. It is one of the things Putin claims to be defending his country against, and China has done the same by banning effeminate men from their media, and outlawing transgenderism and such other things. Hungary is a Trump supporter, as is, to a lesser extent, the new PM of Italy. There are 55 elections scheduled around the world for 2024 in which 40% of the world's population will be eligible to vote, including, I understand, the EU parliament. This all has the Progressive forces on edge because they have lost many of the recent elections to more nationalistic and conservative candidates. Only time will tell. I think the current administration is trying to expand the wars to the point that Trump will be unable to stop them should he be elected in November.

The Trump movement is also worldwide. I just yesterday was watching a video that shows several other countries out marching with Trump signs, so for both sides, more than America is watching what happens with our presidential election.
As has often been stated, whatever happens in America will affect the whole world.

Yes, it is a global agenda. Trump may be (one of) the face(s) of it here, but this is going on all over the Western world.

After I've seen what has happened since Biden took Office, I'll go with Trump completely now!

The world is in such a big mess now that I'm not sure it can be fixed. I tell everybody I know that all this sh!t wouldn't be happening if Trump was president.

Vivek is now campaigning with Trump after endorsing him.

MSNBC and CNN apparently refused to air Trump's victory speech. They were so rattled that he got more than 50% of the votes cast. They were literally beside themselves! Joy Reid was upset that White Christians voted for Trump in Iowa. Will she be as upset when Black Christians vote for him in South Carolina?

    They’re idiots.
The same folks that denied Trump the win 8 years ago were the same folks that handed him the victory this time.

Why is it that they were wonderful people 8 years ago but now they’re some kind of lower class citizens?

Not to be racist but Iowa is a very white state. Unfortunately for Dems, Black Americans lined the street cheering him on his way to get his mug shot taken. They were saying he was a 'brutha' being arrested with no proof etc. Now he is 'black' like them.
Unlike when BIden said, 'If you don't vote for me, you ain't black'.
Boy will things come back to bite them in the butt.
All Trump has to do is put snippets of their own foolishness out there in TV ads. No writers or producers. Very economical.
    I have hope again.

I watched most of the video of Vivek appearing with Trump last night in NH. He said a lot of good things, more probably than anyone else has. The fact that he's willing to travel to NH to support Trump gives me a little more faith in him. After all, Vivek had just dropped out of the race and he could have just gone home to his mansion and put his feet up but he didn't. I like that. I'll keep watching him.

I just saw a comment from someone who is somewhat close to Tucker Carlson say that The decision for Trump's running mate has already been made and it is to be Tucker Carlson. Now THAT would be an interesting ticket!
