NFL Announces 'Black National Anthem' Will Be Performed at Super Bowl by Andra Day (msn.com)

Depending on who is playing, we will watch the Super Bowl, but......... Black National Anthem (Lift Every Voice And Sing)??? And, on top of that, Post Malone, "of all people" the article writer noted, to sing America The Beautiful?

First, it's the Rapper Jelly Roll, with a face full of tattoos, in country music, and now, it's Rapper Post Malone, who's face looks the same way, singing America The Beautiful?

Thank God, Reba McEntire was chosen to sing the National Anthem!!

Yet another reason to avoid the NFL. I don't know why they need to play the National Anthem before a stupid football game anyhow; just do away with that entirely instead of creating more division in the country.

And there is no "black" national anthem. There is ONE National Anthem. Period.

Sorry, Beth, but just looking at the attendance at NFL games, many, many people simply aren't avoiding the NFL. Anyway, it's not the National Anthem the writer is complaining about, it's the so-called "Black National Anthem" the writer is complaining about. Every sporting event has the National Anthem sang at it.

Right! The ONE we have is for everyone. Imagine the furor if someone wrote a white national anthem and rightfully so. The divisiveness needs to stop. We are all Americans.

We were indeed once the United. States of America. The so-called "Black national anthem" is simply another confirmation that we are no longer united.

I have started calling our home "the States in America." :-(

I suspect that very few people are in support of this, or are even aware of it. This stuff is all orchestrated and contrived in order to divide us.

The fans didn't seem to like it, they booed the little victims.
The schools have a lot to do with this division. If we ever needed to be united ,it is now.
Africa still has slaves and always have sold and used their people for slaves.
Victimhood is failing the black people. Thank goodness many are waking up to the facts and democrat agendas. Hope it not too late for us all.

This stuff is no more being embraced by "black people" than parents at school board meetings are planning acts of "domestic terrorism." There's a government hand pulling all of these strings specifically to divide (and to destroy) us. Who here had ever heard of a "Black National Anthem" before this? Probably about as many as actually celebrate Kwanzaa (a fabrication pushed by the FBI in 1966.)

The song "Lift Every Voice and Sing" was written as a hymn in 1900, and is published in 42 different Hymnals. In 1917 it was adopted by the NAACP as "The Negro National Anthem," and was sort of resurrected over a century later during the George Floyd incident, at which time Rep. Jim Clyburn sponsored a bill to make it "The National Hymn of The United States." Then "somehow" the NFL decided it's gonna be presented during games in front of all those fans. You gotta wonder who pushed that divisive decision. I bet it originated from inside the Beltway.

Many American blacks are suffering from how they they have been/are being sabotaged. There's lots of money and power in their repression, and the pawns never benefit. Those kids are cynically being used. And the people pulling the strings get the exact optics that they want...a stadium full of white people yelling at a bunch of massively outnumbered black kids who were put there for that specific purpose. Our anger is misdirected...exactly as intended.

It only works if we let it.

True but that Mayflower left the dock years ago.. Ever listen to the lyrics of the Kinks song,' Living on a Thin Line'? Pretty much tells our story, as does
A Hard Rains Ginna Fall'. I know I listen to too much music.

I kind of agree with much of the Ayn Rand philosophy.

" Neither a wise man nor a brave man lies down on the tracks, for the train of the future to run over him." A.R.
Also Marcus Tullias Cicero and Churchill.

" A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. but it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carriers his banner openly, but the traitor moves among those within the gates freely. his sly whispers rustling thru all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.....

A murderer is less to fear, the traitor is the plaque. M.T. Cicero.

Churchill, If you will not fight...................

Too bad they don't have that kind of 'gusto' to save their nation from the enemies within and invasions from without. A bunch of silly ass fools, Imo. They should be using the money and energy spent on ultra rich kneeling athlete's guarding their and their children's homeland and future.
Like the fall of Rome, spectators while Rome burned.
