I find you can give sources and even the sources sources and it doesn't move the needle one whit. Since your opinion is always "just your opinion" don't even bother with a troll who insists on them. Provide 'em if you got 'em, otherwise don't bother.
While I do drop in as often as possible, I find that back in the beginning there was a lot of discussion about just about everything and anything. I noticed it began dying off as we lost some of our more loquacious and outspoken members. Some left in a huff, never to return. Others have passed on, and others simply stopped chatting for a variety of reasons. I seldom began a thread as I was loath to receive some rude backlash, and this of course would get a rather dressing down from me. If I offer an opinion, I expect it to be either discussed rather civilly or at least my right to express it. I try to keep to this line at all times. One of the problems I have, is, I may have read or researched a subject some time ago and followed up periodically. Next thing I know, I am inundated with folks asking for sources. If I read this 6 months ago, forget it. Look it up yourself, as I did. I am merely passing along some information others may not have. Also, I am not a copier and paster, otherwise, it would all be there. All in all, Ken, I love this forum. You've been good to me in more ways than one, which I shall always appreciate. I hope to see more action soon.
Following up a little on what Lois said re older threads I rarely open a long thread that I have not previously participated in mostly because the current input rarely reflects what the original title, which we can see without opening the thread, is now about Just hovering over that title has a few lines pop up which shows what it is all about originally, I wonder if it is possible or desirable to have the same thing happen if one hovers over the name or time of the current post in the right hand column? This could increase the participation in current discussions, it would almost certainly increase mine!
