Since this appears to be a truly bipartisan alert, there may be something to it. A "destabilizing threat" linked to Russia has been uncovered. The Administration has known something about it since last month, but the Chairman of House Intelligence has requested that Biden declassify it to keep Americans in the loop. Speaker Johnson and Security Advisor Sullivan will be meeting with "The Gang of Eight" whoever they are to develop a strategy. From what I can gather, it is either a threat to the U.S. infrastructure, or a massing of troops in Europe. Hopefully we will know more tomorrow. Johnson made a brief speech about the matter but didn't disclose anything.
The rumors around this concern Russia, space and nukes. I don’t think any of it is confirmed yet but apparently Republicans think Biden is dragging his feet on giving info to the people. I was thinking the same thing. Other journalists have met with other unfriendly foreign leaders in our history, and it was generally accepted that it's just what journalists do. But those narratives were being controlled.
