With a second sock puppet account I could gin up a soap opera to boost numbers. I have enough material in local political drama involving developers literally in bed with zoning board members, plus my own penchant for whining. I'd even label it as fiction. No? Well, ok. LOL
There's some that I've joined but when I checked things around and got comfortable that's when I saw louch things going on. I like to be able to clean out old posts I've written or things I realised I shouldn't have talked about. Some are easy as they have a DELETE ACCOUNT line within profile account. Usually, I'll leave if harassment happens and goes unresolved, which kills the joy overall of being a member. Costs... That's another story... Only once I'd joined a forum and only after doing so, I found out it was only a 7 day free trial. Thankfully, there was a delete account button. The other one was including a dating bit. It was fun to begin with but then it got dirty. LOL, I ran out the door, don't need that at my age . When I make a post and if it's found inappropriate or in the wrong placem I'd much prefer to be told via a PM but not my post cancelled and/or added to someone else's post which due to very bad attitude and derogatory comments I had to block. That's hurtful... So, I've left but there were no ways to let the moderators know... So far, I love it here. All have been nice, so I'm planning to stick around for a while. Afterall, our golden years are supposed to be good, yes? ☺️
I am glad you are here. Nice to have someone across the pond to talk to. I spend waaaaaayyyy too much time on here and still have not been all through the old threads. I miss some of the people who have gone. It is fun to meet new ones. I've only been on two or three forums over the years but they were horse boards and that was all we talked about. I think of this place as giving me lots of pen pals.
We had fifteen new registrants today, each with just a first name. I suspect spambots because every one of them was a lowercase first name.
