The thread had taken the off-ramp until you posted back on topic, Kate!! I was just being a smarty-pants as usual.
I didn’t rant on the crafty forum just as happy to delete and keep well away from know it all idiots This women constantly complains …..as uses the excuse as her 30+ year older than her husband stresses her This is my favourite saying I’ve had for years Better to Remain Silent and Be Thought a Fool than to Speak and Remove All Doubt
I sometimes have a rant but by the time I get here, I have forgotten what they were. They were good ones, too.
Salt!!!! That's one! I bought up a supply of salt back when the virus hit because we need iodized salt. I think it cost about 40 ¢ per box. I recently had to buy another box. It cost $1.99!!!!! $2.00 for a box of salt???? What the hell????
Happy to post it later , after I’ve had breakfast @Beth Gallagher I’ve made it several times and it’s delicious ( I use chicken as we are not keen on pork ) I made it for our tea 2 nights ago ,and I used cream , as crème fresh is expensive it turns out exactly the same
A week ago already, daughter and I had joined a group hoping for friendship, readership and writingship (LOL for latter one). A bit of writing fun, helping others with book covers art, set ups for their digital books and all relevant to authors and publishing... When you get an email that outlines what will happen when you're there, which was something we were looking forward too, but once there, none of it took place. Regardless, we took it as a bit rude. Think about it, they've been in this group for a long time, they know each other by first name, have exchanged emails and some even mobile numbers. We didn't even know the person who had written the email. Yes, we had her name, but she didn't come over to present herself... That's weird right? It made us feel very much unwelcome. At least one nice bloke gave us paper and pen (we hadn't been told it was a requirement beforehand) and one lady served us teas. No names were exchanged. Now, it's Thursday, checked my emails three times to see if I'd get a follow up BUT nothing at all. I feel gutted. How can people be so rude? Sorry... We didn't return and have no plans to do so, it's not worth our while!
Maybe something out of that person's control happened. I'm curious how did the event go otherwise? I've attended a couple of events similar to expand my interest in writing and such.
