Julia, I don't think any of us has heard it all. I can tell you some of my stories, or as Jake says, he could tell you some of mine,. This is a senior forum ya know, we ain't done yet.
As another 'new' member I want to thank Julia for rattling this cage whilst I dont really take a lot of notice of posters 'senior' status I am reluctant to add to a thread that has been running for months if not years for surely it has all been said. That said I did not read the hundreds of comments on this thread so wonder if my thoughts were not expressed back in the 5 years since Ken started this thread. I will admit to mixed feelings on the one hand we all like a response to our thoughts on the other hand many responses off topic or for 'entertainment' do not interest me (but I am sure do many others and pass the time eh>). I have no idea how or if any changes should be made, in general even though I am not very 'active' here I think Ken and the other Admins do a great job. Now back to lurking in my corner till something grabs my attention.....!
It doesn't matter if it's already been said, like you said, it's a senior forum, so we probably won't remember anyway. Post away and welcome if I haven't already welcomed you, I don't remember,
Everything that can be said has probably already been said, but that doesn't mean that everyone has heard it or that another person might not be able to say it at a better time or in a better way.
I too am here every day. I'm really finding the forums enjoyable, with open discussions about most everything, without the overly-liberal tromping on discussions that I experienced in another forum. What a breath of fresh air! And enjoyable discussions and members. Thank you all.
Jenna as you may have noticed I'm here most days 'although I do take breaks now and then' and I post lots, sometimes too much I'm sure.
In case anyone has missed it, this thread is about contributing a statement to our About Page, which no one has done in quite some time now.
I don't understand what you want us to do. I went to the 'about' link, I just see post. Nowhere to reply.
What Ken is asking for, is for a person to write a small post about what they think about the forum, why they do/don’t like it, and then message the post to Ken directly using our personal conversation messages here on the forum. Then, he adds the new post to the “about page”, and people who read the page will see what everyone has written. If you read through what some of the other people have written, you will get a better idea of what Ken is asking for, @Marie Mallery .
Describe the forum from your perspective, and from your opinion. There's no need to be particularly promotional or even complimentary. Those of you who are unhappy with the forum are also invited to do so, as well.
