Sadly, I've been in the hospital for the last 4 days with multiple infections. The worst being a COVID Variant. I did not take the COVID shot this past fall, as It makes me sick as a dog for a couple of days. Learned my lesson with this one. I was stuck in bed for 24 hours with I.V.s in both arms containing all sorts of meds that fight all infections. Believe it or not I was out of bed in a chair the next day. However, wires and tubes hanging from just about every orifice I own. The P.T. came in and got me walking with a walker, and I did fine. Off came a couple of wires. Yea. By yesterday, all, my vitals were normal and I could go home, but stay in quarantine for 6 more days. It 's the law. Today the outdoor temps are 72 degrees F. Drat. I feel great now and am trying to keep busy in my apartment.
That is horrible, @Lois Winters , and i am thankful to hear that you are doing better and back home again. Being in a hospital is never any fun, and having needles in your arms makes everything even worse. Sending you hugs, and saying a prayer for your complete recovery !
I'm glad you're back home, Lois. This stuff can be a nightmare. By the way, the CD dropped the COVID quarantine requirements as of the first of this month. The CDC now says people who have Covid-19 should stay home until they’ve been fever-free without medication for at least 24 hours and their symptoms have been improving for 24 hours. Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry to hear about your ordeal, Lois. I hope you are feeling much better now. Sending you a hug from Texas.
Being ill is never fun. Glad to hear you're doing better, @Lois Winters — and thanks for letting us know.
Welcome back @Lois Winters. I am glad to here things are on the mend. Getting outside into the sunshine might be the best thing you could do...despite whatever quarantine stuff they talk about.
Lois! Glad you are home. A hospital is no place to heal. Like Don said, if you can sit out in the sunshine that might help. At the very least to improve your mood.
