Since I first joined here, if anyone links to an old attachment image, my browser (Edge) does not recognize it. If I want to see it, I either have to find it in the original thread, OR, Sometimes if I copy the url and add an 's" to the "http:" it works. Is it just me?
I sometimes cannot see images. I forget what all the potential issues might be besides the link being bad...I listed the reasons I found in a comment somewhere that I made some time in the past. Regarding "https"...Firefox has a setting to not load "http" without the 's' but that setting can be changed. The web says this about Edge: If you are unable to open http sites in Microsoft Edge, you can try the following solutions: Update your Microsoft Edge browser Clear cache and cookies Disable or Uninstall Edge extensions Close other tabs, extensions, and apps Make sure Microsoft Edge is up to date I guess that's not much help. edit to add: In another forum, lots of images in comments started to appear as the icon for "Image." I can right-click/Open In New Tab and they appear. One would think this to be a very simple thing for a browser to manage. I never have this issue when on a website...it's just forum attached/embedded files.
I have had this issue only with Shirley's images, at times. I will try the right click and open in new image idea. Thanks, John.
