Took walk this week but no vine much in last couple days. So many vines, so little time!

Molly walked the trail yesterday; Jake didn't put her on golfcart till the end of my walk.

Training Foxy and Leo is working and they are doing much better.

Walk didn't happen. just sat around most of the day, not good. Molly, Foxy and Leo are all mad. First time they haven't walked around trail since they have been here maybe missed 2 days because of heavy rain in over 2 years. I did walk around house with hand weights and a little dance, not much.

Another day of not slowing down here. After feeding the animals I thought I would transplant the cabbage to a raised bed. It can resist cold, and since it got root bound now, rather than doing a bigger container, it would be easier to put it in the bed. Grass is to be cut again soon. I need to crank the boat, just a reminder to "me" when I see this post.

I'm happy nothing is breaking down right now to create more work.

Hoping, everyone, "has a great day". :)

I got the cabbage transplanted and took a photo of some of them.

Check this out, made this cherry pie, and had one cherry seed in it when I was eating it. So I thought I would plant it and see if it would come up and it did.

This wasn't planned for collards to go to seed, but some did. So I will let them dry out and keep them. It's a lot of seeds, will not have to buy any next year.

    Photo.

Storming this morning here, Have to figure out the best activity to do today. I hope all of you have a wonderful day. :)

I had to come back and edit because Marie was in the bathroom calling me to put Foxy in the bathtub so she could bath her. I need to do Leo too, and have to trim claws, Molly's are getting long so I need to trim her's a little too.

Foxy wasn't too fond, of the bath, but she was way better than her first bath; screaming like I was killing her the whole time.

I started a new thread about singers who wrote their hit songs, to me it's interesting; because I put a little of their history on the post. And I am interested in them; because of what a "gift", they have or had, of talent, looks, vision of writing, and a voice. How blessed can anyone be, to have all that? For some, they ended in a tragic end, and some lived a very long blessed life. Some are still living.

Well back to what needs to be done here on this rainy day. :) "Everywhere you look"; you can see something that needs to be done, even after you've fixed numerous things. :( In a way, it's not so bad, and in another, It's a blessing being able-bodied enough to do some of it.

As I put above, Have a wonderful day; "everyone". :)

Jake is very busy transplanting greenhouse plants in raised bed and hügelkultur mound.
He said it will take 3 beers to get over this, not his normal 2, mostly he only drinks 2 anyway.
He asks me to wait on trial walk for another hour or so.
Being spring snakes are out so we keep dogs on leash, also, ticks are really bad now 'AS USUAL!:(

Busy day today, transplanted over 40 plants; out of the greenhouse. Split them up between the raised bed and the hugelkultur mound. I wanted to wait until mid-April. But the plants were getting too big for their containers, so I had to move them. I started early this morning and didn't stop until 6 pm, to feed and put animals up.

I propped them with support; to help them get over the transplant. They look good and I think they will produce well. Some of the huge tomato plants had tomatoes on them already. The rest had lots of flowers. I will work with bell peppers tomorrow. We have lots of sunflowers to deal with too. "Never slows down". :)

I transplanted twenty-two Sunflowers today. I will start on bell peppers tomorrow. All the ones I did yesterday look good, "success", so far, if we don't get a cold snap. Sometimes we get a late freeze and sometimes we don't.

Molly just keeps on keeping on, just slower each day. Leo and Foxy keep improving daily, still a little neurotic, but much better. I am not so sure that they will ever be like normal dogs since they were starved, beaten, and abused so badly. They're starting to understand commands, and not quite as scared, as they used to be.

Hope "all of you", having a great day. :)

Leo and Foxy are two different dogs and doing much better now, learning to not paw us and Leo is calmer ,Foxy is still a little wired, but like Jake said much better.

No vines today, instead weeded and pulled up aggressive invasive Mexican Petunias, I had to use a garden fork to loosen up massive amounts of roots.
No spring in house cleaning today.

Pretty busy today for me. As always start with a cup of coffee, then let the chickens out, feed the dogs, open the greenhouse, and have a second cup of coffee. Then I went out and cut down a big bay tree, for Marie, that she had been complaining about for months.

Watered all newly transplanted plants, and checked the mail. Around 3 pm started to cook supper for the two of us, and then at 6 pm, fed the animals again. This day seemed to fly by to me. Just hope, you all had a great day today. :)

Up at 4 am this morning, I guess it's true as we age, we don't need as much sleep, as when we were younger.

I must figure out, the "most important", things to do today. Marie is still in bed, the animals are all asleep, so it's hushed here. I will transplant the bell peppers today and other plants, that I was supposed to do yesterday. Putting tasks up here does seem to help get me motivated, and accomplished. "Works for me". After all the plants get used to their new location and start thriving; I will take a few photos of them. Bay tree debris from cutting it down yesterday, will have to be removed today, grass has to be cut soon. Staying on top of things makes everything better. I do many other things, throughout the day, like I'm sure "you all do"; that never gets written down "here". ;)

"Life is good", and I still hope all of you are enjoying yours. :)

I made it through yesterday, without too much sleep; I have everything out of the greenhouse now, and planted, except a few plants, I'm not sure what they are yet. I will have to go back and look at the paper I wrote about what seeds I was planting. The sunflowers are doing great, but out of the twenty-two that I had transplanted, four of the flowers, and squirrels decided to buzz off their tops. :( So we let Foxy and Leo, back around in the front yard, "it's working".

It's way too hot in that greenhouse for anything now, and the plants look good. Now I have to water plants in the morning, let them grow, and not open the greenhouse using a fan or heat on cold nights. One less job for me. I always water, after transplanting, every day, for about a week; then only, if they are thirsty.

"Hope you having a great day". :)

New Day, "everyone"; and for me I will be cutting grass today if the rain holds off. Not sure it's windy and kind of cloudy. Have to eat this turkey pot pie first, then have at it. :)

Watered plants already, ran three squirrels off Sunflowers, fed animals, let chickens out, and had to let the little Foxy around and she watched them in anticipation. Can't believe those little pests, chew the flowers off fast.:(

I don't think they would eat them like they do the flowers on our confederate rose bush; so why do they chew them off?

Anyway have to go so I can eat and get busy. Have a great day "all". :)

Up at two am this time I think that I might as well get used to it. Before he passed, the old vet we used to watch said he gets up when he wakes up. He lived to 104 or so, I guess lack of sleep didn't get him.

It's hushed in the mornings here, which helps you to think; "as if that's something we need" when we awake so early. I always tell myself not to start thinking about stuff, but that seems to make it worse.

Our mind is a powerful thing at times, we don't always seem to be able to control it. Do the best we can and hope everything works out. Plants are doing fine, and so far haven't lost any more sunflowers to squirrels, though at least twenty-five or so were out at them wanting to take them out. I threw a couple of rocks at them to scare them off, and let Foxy and Leo go, which saved them for another day.

If starting them from a seed caring for them, and transplanting them, had not been so much work, I wouldn't care. "Venting here", still not slowing down either. A lot of rain yesterday so I didn't have to water anything, which was nice. Have to check the power steering on my truck because; when we went to the feed store it seemed to be losing some fluid, I filled it back up while Marie was in the store and it was low again after we got back home, while I was parking it. Still no leaks on the oil, it stays full; which is nice after replacing the oil pan gasket.

Well, I'm going to get one more coffee and kill some time to "daylight", hope you all have a nice day.:)
