Friday nights since 1984, it's been films night in our home. First got a rental beta machine with film cassettes, then our dépanneur, changed the whole lot to VHS and our weekends were converted to standard meal of pizza, chips, popcorn and two films. After a month or so, our friendly dépanneur got us a deal with a new shop downtown. According to the rentals we'd paid, we received a brand new VHS Machine and five films free to begin our collection. 37 years later, myself and daughter have an impressive collection of our favourite DVDs plus with our new streaming puck system, Friday nights are still the night to watch newly released films. That's nostalgia for you... Also watching husband transferring all the VHS Tapes over to DVD. One major problem was that many of our VHS equipment and films weren't compatible with our televisions here in the UK and by then NTSC/PAL machine were very expensive and DVDs were just coming out. So he skipped the expenses, bought the cheapest one available and accomplished the job...

I had a dozen blown out egg shells that I painted with my first husband as we didn't have money for Christmas ornaments. Brought back memories every time I opened them at Christmas. A bud vase of my Gram's...
Men in uniform. I grew up on army camps which were a man-fest.....all those young men in uniform! Your interest in the opposite sex doesn't wane as you age!
various things can take me back.. but the most moving was while visiting my dementia brother . He had make a joke of sorts, and when I looked at him- there was that smile, that twinkle in his eye, let me know- he was there at that moment.
My friend sent me a dozen blown eggs, I have them here in the glass China cabinet last couple decades.
