It is happening to a lot of us today. Ken says it is not a DDS attack, but we do not know what is causing it. Just keep refreshing, and eventually, it will work right. It is nothing specific to this forum , but somehow affects us.
That is what is called a denial of service attack. I think we have a thread here about those, I don’t understand much except it happens when someplace like China attacks US internet service, and it usually affects large parts of the country, especially large cities where the internet hubs are at. *** merged threads***
Perhaps a foreign power is experimenting to see how much disruption it can cause by attacking the internet. A sign of what could happen if we depend on the internet for everything.
It appears that whatever it is that affects the forum is happening again today, and it is frustrating, to say the least. If it is not Chinese cyber attacks, maybe it is something to do with the solar flares that are happening right now, which are worse than we have had in years.
I, too, am getting constantly directed to Out of Resource pages. It takes several refreshes to make them go away, and when they do, the site does often not load properly. And it's slow. The issue has gone from transient to persistent.
Yvonne's comment can't be the problem. I've been in denial my entire life and the internet's been fine.
Whoa, there is some funky stuff going on with this site today. I get lots of errors, resources limited, everything is slow, and the pages aren't loading properly.
Okay then n, not so bummed out now. @John Brunner thank you, did not know it was on going issue. Going to hop off as not getting much done on here otherwise.Maybe later.
I just hit the like button and got a pop up that resource limit has been reached. That has been happening a lot today but some over the past week or so.
