I think courtesy is related to population density with big cities being the worst and small towns like around here not too bad, but there are always some bad apples anyway.

One could be considered arrogant if one does not qualify one’s statement …..could they not?

I mean, @Ed Wilson had 3 different opinions wrapped up in a single sentence so is it that you disagree with all three, or two, or simply one of those opinions ? And why?

    Good afternoon to all-
    Ms. Martin
The former occupant of the White House lives no where in my life- I expect decency and good behavior from people I allow close to me. The former occupant is capable of neither of these things.
And there is a treatment for the former occupant- vote the vile individual back home to his gilded palace in Florida. Or perhaps a jail cell where he rightfully belongs.

you all be safe and keep well- Ed

I was thinking of making a way to put 'Love is the answer' on a legal sized sign out at the farm which is on a cty highway. Because if you vote with love, how would that be divisive.
As driving into the farm this morning, there on the pillars of the front porch were two 10ft long rainbow banners of streamers with the 'alphabet flag' at the top. One could say it was pretty but it definitely is divisive in this area. I understand where one of my renters is coming from. She/he is not a bad apple.
I don't know how to make a heterosexual sign nor do I think it is worth it to show my thoughts. People just don't always think before doing. And how can everyone know how everyone else feels?
( Just texted asking them to remove them from the exterior of the building.)

I've tried that with my cats. When they're fighting, I'll tell them that all they need is love. Frequently, I'll even sing it but it doesn't seem to generate any love. It's very hard to reason with a cat.

It all comes down to how people are brought up. Neo-liberalism means that everyone is free to do as they please and that includes children. Too many are not being taught respect and consideration for others.....everyone is self-serving.

Mary, don't you live in Wisconsin? May I ask around where? I lived in Madison, and also a small town center of state.

I enjoyed living in Wisconsin. It was a long time ago, more than forty years.

    Celia Jenkins,

I was told by several economists that neoliberalism is nothing else but Liberalism.

Now, yes, we are free to do what we wish...but there is a big difference between that and stepping on other people's feet....children or adults.

    When Narcissists Collide.
It is rather interesting to see The Self-Important interact with each other.

    John Brunner,

Indeed. It was quite an event to watch my mother and sister practicing "narcissism". LOL

Yeh, it's usually the parent (or lack of one) that creates them.

    John Brunner,

LOL. In this case my father also enjoyed the event.

Fond du Lac! I have lived in Wisconsin since college, an import from New York. I love it here but it is starting to get crowded.

I was born in Wisconsin, but only because my parents preferred the hospital in Marinette to the one in Menominee, Michigan.
