Praying for our homeless this a.m. and hoping others will pray with me as well. I heard some info at church last night I didn't know much about, being new in this town. Some of you might know I moved on June 20, so still getting situated in my new area. I don't know if this is a totally truthful article, but it sure opened my eyes, and my heart to pray for the homeless. I have to tell you right now, I don't care "why" they are homeless, or where they came from, what I believe is they are suffering horribly in this weather I can barely stand in my cushy apt. with AC. I pray Lord God almighty, that You will guide me and direct me this day, and that You will speak to the hearts of all people in this new city of mine You've provided. Sorry, Denise, but it looks like the only response you are getting here is from yourself. Wife and I totally believe in prayer, but many don't, even on this forum. As far as the homeless goes, many will say, "You'd better take a better look at why there are so many homeless."
Please don't be sorry Cody, once I do what the Lord is calling me to do, the results are in His hands I don't need to look at the "why's" any person is where they are in their lives, why they are there, whether it's homeless, or any other situation. God knows and that's all I need to know. I don't need a closer look at the unsaved that are not following Christ, I was there myself, and that's as close as it gets. You read this thread, and to me, there's a sign right there of God working in your life Cody, and I thank Him for that This is meant to be a prayer thread, so I'm not asking for people's advice about my walk with the Lord, not in this thread. I would just like to keep it for prayer.
Oh thank you Lord, my ballot is here today!! Dear Father God, I pray that every citizen of the US vote, I pray it will be a fair vote, and that You keep it fair for all citizens. You know I am not fond of the Left, I don't understand the "whys" of how they might vote, but You know, and I trust in You, not people today. I read Your Word for me today and found the verse where You say "He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief" (Matthew 13:58). I pray as believers today, that we do "not" forget the miracles You have done in our lives, You have never left us, and You have always delivered us from our trials Lord, we have that living proof, so need never doubt You. I pray for my unbelief, and to apply your Word to my life, one day at a time. I pray for the unsaved, and pray Lord, they will seek You with their whole heart and whole mind, above all else Lord, I pray for Your Will to be done, and to remember that Your ways are higher than ours, in the precious name of Jesus, amen
I have been seeing people say that Trump/Vance is not in the Oregon voter’s pamphlet, @Denise Evans . I see you said your ballot has arrived, is there a voter’s pamphlet with it, and doe the pamphlet mention Trump/Vance in yours ? I am guessing that they are actually on the ballot itself, since I have not seen anyone posting that they weren’t on the ballot. I think that most everyone who prays is probably realizing that we need to keep on praying for this country. Even after the election, I am concerned that things will get worse, not better. Both sides are being told the exact same thing, which is that if the “other side” wins, we lose our democracy, which is our freedoms and government by the people, here in America. Neither side wants to see that happen, and the people promoting that to both sides are who is causing all of the enmity between people right now. We need to pray especially for peace here after the election, because no matter who wins, or if something happens and stops the election, no matter what, there are going to be a lot of people who are angry and scared about the future.
No, and I was furious at first, but I got the pamphlet a week ago or so. I get the ballot today which is supposed to have their name on it for sure. I read an article I'll link below, but it says that Trump/Vance opted not to pay 3500 dollar cost to be shown in pamphlet. I thought first thing was did all who are in the pamphlet have to pay that?? I don't trust people at all at this point, especially our "present rulers" of Oregon. I also read that Trump/Vance did not get in by the deadline so I'd love to hear from them, both of them on why they are not in there.
