    That looks like it hurts !
    Those falls are just no fun. I did that this summer , when I was looking at the rose bushes, and stepped sideways, but my foot caught on a tiny root on the ground that I didn’t see, and over I went, and crashing down on the ground with no chance of stopping the fall. Fortunatly, I landed on grass and did not get scraped up like you did, but I was sore for the next few days.
    Hoping that you are feeling better soon, and no after-effects.

    It reminds me of a towel my wife has hanging in the kitchen.
    "May those who love you love you;
    May God turn the hearts of those who don't to love you;
    If that doesn't work, may He turn their ankles instead;
    You can tell those who don't love you by their limp."

    Sorry for your fall, Ken. I hope the bruises heal up soon. Been there, done that and it wasn't a bit of fun.

    OWWwww...Rest and I hope you feel better soon. Was just talking with my daughter that, if my leg were to get better, I would still carry a cane. I have caught myself on occasion from falling with a misstep; sometimes on the stairs. We have to plan carrying things more than we used to. I have different carry bags for taking things up and down stairs, going to the store....

    Today, my arm scrapes have already begun to heal and my head doesn't hurt much, but my left leg, from my hip down to my ankle, hurts.

    My wife had my 2002 Chevrolet Tracker restored, not to showroom status by any means, but to drivability status. It has been under a tarp for the past few years because the brackets holding the fabric top were broken, and I couldn't find anyone who could fix it. No one had the parts. It has a good motor, and I would start it up from time to time and let it run for a while, but all four of the tires had flattened, and some other parts had rusted over the years, but she found someone who was able to find the parts, albeit at hugely expensive costs, and it works well again. Tomorrow, I'll have to re-register it and have it inspected. The fact that it's not in showroom condition is one of the reasons I like it, as I'm not afraid to take it on roads that I wouldn't want to take the leased car on. Plus, Trackers are small so they fit on roads that the leased car wouldn't fit on.

    The fact of the hugely expensive cost is why I have been putting off taking my '96 Dodge in. I only use it to haul hay once or twice a year and did not get hay this year but I would like it to be road safe and not have the floor fall off somewhere. I went by my mechanic's place yesterday and it looks like every one has the same idea. All trucks in the parking area. There is not a computer on board anywhere.

    Yeah, I love my Tracker, but I couldn't see a way forward beyond only driving it on sunny days in the summer, and this is Maine - it rains constantly during the spring and summer.

    I am really pleased with my wife for doing this for me. I might even keep her for another couple of years.
