I just heard that both Georgia and Wisconsin election computer systems are under some sort of cyber attack. Gee, who would've thought? I wonder who could be behind this since Harris is behind in both those states according to internal polling? Anything from Pennsylvania, Virginia, Nevada or Arizona?
You know, back when I started to vote we used those old lever machines and I cannot remember anyone saying they were hacked. And you know. The curtain closed behind you so no one could see how you are voting.
Thanks for making a thread specific to elections, great idea @Don Alaska I just got so happy I could login again and see some info, I get most of the good stuff here Yes, if anything is going "weird" it's the very "nervous" Left in our present administration. I just keep praying and can't believe how fast the days are flying by. In 2020 I had, sadly, taken a trip to see a gal I worked with for years. It was pretty uncomfy as they were for biden/harris all the way. But I went for walks through the AZ evenings which were lovely, and there were parties everywhere for Trump. I asked them (knew the answer) if they were invited and she said, oh no, no, we wouldn't go. I'd voted early and took my ballot to the courthouse that time too. They caught that I hadn't signed the envelope so of course I went down and did that Then I had a 5 hour layover, on the day of the 5th of Nov. and it was calm at the airport, but I was a wreck trying to watch the stations they had on at Phoenix Metro Anyway, it was a sad home-coming for me. Not this year I pray! Not traveling that's for sure.
I took a break from Rogan/Trump to see some or all of Elon's speech/rally in Folsom PA. I could only get the full speech on Rumble so I'll put the link here. So far I love what Elon says, love to hear him because he is very bold, and doesn't pull any punches. I'm so glad he's in this with Trump and all of us: https://rumble.com/v5j7jkl-elon-musks-full-discussion-in-folsom-pennsylvania..html
I remember the first time I voted was in one of those "booths." I was so nervous and in there all by myself like a grownup.
Ahhhhhh.......... I need the screaming goat audio. I wanted to get my vote in by last Friday but this extra long ballot required more research. It's ready now and will be submitted tomorrow. There were 8 candidates, 12 judges (that I voted against) more that I couldn't find reliable information for but spent time trying, 7 state constitutional amendments, 7 propositions and 3 city issues. That is a lot to research.
Both Trump and Kennedy (and many others) have been saying that this election, we just need to get more republicans in office so they have more control of what happens once Trump is elected, and to vote for them, even if the only option is a RINO. We have more elections coming up in 2 more years, and can get the bad ones out and better ones in when that happens, and right now we just need the majorities in as many states as possible. So, when we filled out our absentee ballots, that is what we did. We are actually pretty uch a red state anyway, but I figured that Trump and Kennedy have good reasons or they would not be telling people to vote early, and straight ticket just this one time.
I see the shenanigans have started; a mail carrier in Florida has been arrested for dumping mail, including mail-in ballots. I think all voting should be in person and with a valid ID. NO mail in allowed at all.
That's actually true of every election in every office down to dogcatcher and always has been. It doesn't do any good to elect a president of one party and a Congress of the other because it's gridlock. That's one reason that Trump didn't get more done and so much of what he did get done was just by executive order. The Democrat Congress wouldn't pass a law. You might be surprised or even aghast to know that I've only voted for 2 Democrats in my entire voting history since I was old enough to vote. I have to say that one of those Democrats turned out great by switching to the Republican Party in his first term in the US Senate. But the other was a total dud on the city council. As a 2 party system it's one party or the other, no gray area. I've always scoffed at people who claim to vote for the candidate because they aren't independent actors once elected. Their party controls them. While I certainly don't like every R, I generally think they are better or at least less evil than the D. We are in a political realignment now and I don't agree with everything on the GOP platform but I probably don't agree with anything on the Democrats' platform, so again, less evil.
As I tell many people, voting for a Democrat in the 1960s or 70s was much different than voting for one now. It is said that JFK would be viewed as a conservative Republican by the way things are aligned now.
I watched a bit of a "Get Out the Vote" on TBN, a Christian broadcaster. They had Dr. Phil McGraw as a guest and he was comparing "Liberals" to "Conservatives". If many conservatives look at a candidate and find even one small thig they disagree with, they refuse to vote for that person, while if liberals find even one big thing they agree wit, even if the person is the most disgusting individual they have known of, they will vote for them. McGraw then asked, "Is there anyone in your life who you love EVERYTHING about?" Most people overlook small things they disagree with if the person is overall a good person. The exception is conservatives and politics.
I said that to a liberal relative once and I thought he was going to stroke out but it's true. My parents were both Democrats when I was growing up. They were raised in the south and were conservatives. As they told it there really wasn't a Republican Party where they lived and any who voted Republican kept it quiet. My mother changed parties in her elder years.
Ballot mills are in operation is swing states now. Here is Wisconsin. Similar things are happening in Pennsylvania and other swing states. Fraud is going heavy this time.
