The peak of my day. School's out today so my stair step granddaughters and their brother came over. I was greeted with hugs and kisses as they came into the house except the third granddaughter came busting in the door. Grandma! Grandma! I know today is not my birthday but can we celebrate my birthday today? Now that's one thing the I make sure that I have for birthdays is cake mix and ice cream whether they come over or not but this was unexpected. A celebration. So I dug out the Wednesday birthday theme party items, decorated the dining room with their help, baked and decorated a cake, and got my phone to video the celebration of the gathering all within four hours. Oh, and I can't forget the birthday present. She was so excited as were her sisters and brother.
I have been arguing with the gas company here for over a week. I made my usual online payment and had a cfm nbr but did not keep it. Actually with them does not matter. They sent a text saying not received payment. A guy checked and anyway everything was okay , no $30 fee for me. While at the bank later had someone look up transaction..the gas company was in error. They used wrong Trans code for savings acct vs checking acct. I sent email to let them know of the error. Sigh.. then got a letter from the home office demanding payment in full, but could only be paid by certified check. Called again to local office, this person assured me all would be updated ignore it all. Then agot another letter want $140 deposit. I called again . Being updated and will make notes one here. You can never get same person. Called again yesterday- another person- there is not notes on here. I explained it all again. Sigh once aging being updated. No supervisor to speak according to her. I am at my wits end with this. There of course no other gas company around. All the while trying to keep the BP down and not have complete melt down. I did say tho,maybe I should ask atty,, knowing I am being recorded. This is enough Pit to last me awhile.. Peak I am alive and have all me marbles in place
Peak: I filled out a form with some agency of the state government where monies get sent when the recipient cannot be found. This includes refunds & rebates, abandoned bank accounts, utility deposits to be returned, stuff like that. I did this once before when Allstate claims they could not find me to send the check to my residence (I've been with them since 1972 and lived at my then-current residence for over 30 years, yet they did not have my address) Anyway, I got a check for $175 in the mail merely for checking online and filling out a form. Pit: I loaded firewood on my front porch getting ready for heating season. I always whine as I'm doing it, but I really do like wood heat when it's cold outside. Today I filled the long rack of the split wood, filling my truck and backing it up to the porch to unload. Tomorrow will be Kindling Day (no, not German children...twigs & branches.) I have a large property with fallen branches and small cedar trees, so there's never a shortage of kindling or fire starter...just a shortage of energy. At least gathering kindling is light work.

Yes, be DARN glad when this election is over! If Harris is elected, history will be made. If Trump is elected, look out immigrants!
Peak: Beautiful day. Worked in the yard and washed my car. Pit: Came in to sit down and have a cup of coffee. Put my feet up and spilled the entire cup into my recliner.
Pit- dang dog hops in the before 4 am. ear sniffing and licking-wants out. We both hate getting up so early.4 cups of coffee later still wanting to nod off. Peak, still breathing, my marbles are in place, and spouse to be sunny today
Pit: Waiting on the results of my MRI. Want to know, but at the same time, don't want to know. I'm sure most of you have been in that situation concerning a health problem, right? Peak: Drinking three cups of green tea a day has really brought down my blood pressure.
@Cody Fousnaugh - yes waiting is a Pain. Doctor here at least only call if something is wrong. I wish you well, and chances are you will be fine .
