..what a crowd! One guy interviewed on the way in speaks of the tariffs. this is live, and from CNN so I'm taking a chance on it ALL being covered CNN did a horrible job on the rally it kept getting blurry out of focus I'm on Fox link which is in my next post below and it's way more clear very close up so much better than CNN's I don't know if they did it on purpose or what but Fox is is the better link to watch
Here's a FOX link but it's not starting yet (77 more minutes), but it may be needed as a backup plan to watch
It's good to have a dedicated thread. Thanks for posting it, Denise. I watched most of it but that is a whole lot of TV for me in one afternoon. Overall, the rally was amazing. So many people had good things to say and the attendance was astonishing being in NYC. 20K inside and there were thousands more outside. The speakers were all good although I didn't care about some of them but I'm sure there were people who did.
I just got done a few minutes ago, and I'll have to to wait until tomorrow to comment more. I was astonished at all I learned!! Things I really didn't know about, or didn't understand. They talked about the energy, lots of comments on the energy at the Gardens, and I sware I felt the same energy here by myself in front the tv
Tucker Carlson blew the doors off the Madison square gardens I've never heard him say anything that had more of a punch then he did tonight:
Can't sleep so I gotta post this one too. I was never a fan, never watched his show, thought he was weird, but what he said here at the rally made me a real fan of his now. Really surprised me because when they called his name to come to the podium, I said to myself "what?? Dr. Phil, that guy??"
It was really something different yesterday. I still don't think Trump will win NY but it would be great to be wrong.
He already has most of the state. It is only NYC he needs, and he is certainly working on it. There is a great deal of unhappiness because of the Sanctuary City situation, so who knows?
I really liked this quote yesterday when J.D. summed up Kamala with the words she used when she was asked what she would do differently than Biden. Kamala Harris? Nothing comes to mind. -- J.D. Vance
I noticed that Maye Musk was at the MSG rally yesterday, along with Elon and little X (in a MAGA hat), and she seemed like she was having a great time, and it just thrilled her to see Elon finally getting such wonderful recognition, after being pretty much either ignored, or spoken against by the Biden/Harris government. She is such a great mother, and really loves all three of her children a lot, and you could just see how happy she was for Elon yesterday. Since I started following her on X, I have seen her make definite changes, and going from a complete liberal in her political thinking, to a happy trump supporter. Maye Musk lives in New York City , and she has mentioned that several of her friends (and you know those have to be rich people) have been attacked by the illegals there, and the police did nothing about it. She has watched her city become overrun with these illegals, along with seeing her son being cast aside along with his companies, SpaceX , Tesla, X. and Starlink, all of which provide American made products and hire American citizens to work. In fact, one of the things they attacked Musk for was that he was not hiring illegals at his businesses. Through all of this, Maye Musk has gradually been posting more conservative things on X, and happy posts about how much the Trump supporters love Elon and the respect they and President Trump give her son. Now that Elon is also talking about interest in Christian beliefs, she may follow along with him in that respect as well. I am hoping.
I watched a few of the speakers and yes, for the most part the rally was great. What I didn’t like and also what Time magazine and a few others in the media caught was the comedian. To my taste, he wasn’t a good fit for the Trump image. He brought full blown adult uh…”humor” to a very mixed crowd of people. The bottom line is that his style of comedy was lewd and unnecessary at a venue that was meant to help create votes, not insult a whole range of people. One other guy didn’t impress me at all was the “artist”. Everything was about HIM. How much he had to put up with when he got to NY and how breaking into the art industry was so hard for him because other artists didn’t like him etc, etc, etc. It was soooo bad that at the end of his time, he yelled something to the effect of “This is for you other NY artists” whilst flipping them the bird. Notably, his “art” was mediocre at best.
That's too bad, Bobby. It sounds like those negatives really bothered you. I don't remember those 2 so I either went to the bathroom, answered the phone or tuned them out, probably the latter. Time magazine isn't on my list. I was totally surprised to see Dr. Phil there. I'm not a fan at all but I suppose a lot of people still are. I doubt that Dr. Phil will have much effect on the Trump administration. Btw, Hulk Hogan doesn't win my vote for endorsements either but Trump's policies do win it. One thing I do find interesting is the variety of people who like Trump enough to go through the misery of attending a rally to endorse him and the absolute hell of criticism they are going to get heaped on their heads this week because they did endorse.
Yes, I liked it so much I made a "poster" for her up above Maybe my fave of the whole bunch, of great quotes, came from Tucker about those in power right now, "These are the single most useless people in the United States". This is when he was throwing it back at them putting hard-working Americans down.
I just got boo'd on Youtube because I didn't see "kill tony" at the rally. Thought I'd watched every inch of it. Anyway, I listened on Youtube this a.m. just to him, and didn't think he was the least bit funny. He was speaking up again censorship, and thought some of his stuff should be censored. I mean I laugh my but off at really, good comedians, even if they have potty mouths, they're just good at what they do. Trump is way funnier than this guy. So are some of the speakers and they aren't even trying. Tucker for one I don't remember the "artist", maybe I missed him too
