I looked it up to see if fluoride was removed, , and Co-pilot said that PUR gets rid of about 50% of fluoride, and ZeroWater gets rid of 98%. I looked at mine, and it turns out , ours is a ZeroWater.
I was going to order one, and then thought I should make sure what we already had before ordering, so now I am happier knowing that most of the bad stuff is filtered out and 98% of the fluoride, plus whatever comes out from the faucet filter that Bobby put in the line for the kitchen sink.
They are about $30+/- on Amazon, so that is pretty cheap to have purified water to drink.

This one would be a good one for my, "water filtration thread", though I know it has to do with health too. :)

Just want to say; ain't I the, "lucky one", four nights sleep, over six hours every time, thanks to y'all telling me about trying melatonin, I take, 10 mgs a night, and sleep peacefully until morning, so far no "groggy", or "side effects", of any kind.

As long as it works, "I don't fix it". :D Thanks, "everyone", again. :)

That's amazing how tolerances vary so much. I couldn't even take 3mg without a hangover from it. I ordered some 3mg timed release from Amazon, and am waiting for it to arrive.

I'm glad you found relief,Jake. Nothing like fixing the problem with something that is actually good for you.

Thanks, John, and you're right, it is "really nice", finally fix a problem, and I understand it can work different for everyone; so far I'm knocking on wood, because it was starting to effect my "health", the lack of sleep, and walking around all night, not getting but one to three hours sleep a night. I'm starting to feel better, with the rest now.

Oh, and I hope the 3 mgs work for you. :)

There's nothing like first-hand experience to make one understand why sleep deprivation is a great interrogation technique.

Bobby and I both take at least 10 mg about a half hour before bedtime, @Marie Mallery . Sometimes, I have taken 20 mg, and it does not seem to affect me any differently than if I take the 10 mg.
After I take my melatonin, I take a nice hot shower, and then do something relaxing, like my ipad painting, before i go to bed, so that my mind and body are fully relaxed and ready to go to sleep.
Sometimes now, I even paint in my dreams, which is kind of interesting ! I will be looking at a landscape of some sort in my dream, and think “those trees need to be a little darker green”, and then …..they are ! …..just like that. It is kind of fun, and the painting before bed really helps my mind to relax.

If you take too much melatonin, all that will happen is you will feel drowsy in the morning. Just experiment until you find the amount that works best for you.

So true, John; I know when Molly was passing, she woke me over and over, off and on all night, until I had to put back outside in her dog house. I actually thought I would die before her, from lack of sleep, it was rough, her passing in more than one way.

I take 10 mg every night, too. I have never had any morning drowsiness or any other ill effects from it. I think it gives me more vivid dreams, though.
