Thanks @Don Alaska yep the part about plenty of fluids is interesting cause I used to get onto him about drinking more water cause he will only have a sip or two of water most days …..he simply won’t drink more so I’ve given up and choses not to take our advice ….from me or the doctor .. he fills a 500 mill ( 2 cups size ) bottle with water once a week and puts it in the fridge ….but he drinks 4-5 cups of coffee a day . As for myself I drink almost a Ltr a day in cooler months and prob close on 2 ltrs a day in summer I sometimes get concerned and suggest he chat to the Dr about getting a check up to be sure the brain tumour he had has not grown back ( I can’t remember what it was called ) but it was a benign one that was removed via his nose in an 11 hour surgery …..the he had 2 further surgeries in ONE WEEK ….both lasting 7 hours ..cause they couldn’t stop his brain fluid leaking ..due to the surgery bring done via his nose ……. scary to say the least …for me and him …that was almost 4 years ago . The tumour was picked up eye specialist while measuring his eyes for lenses to have his cataracts done he was sent for a urgent xray followed up by a scan .
He’s still the same @Hedi Mitchell he has good days and bad days We both have GP appointments early next month mine is an hour before his so I’m going to have a word to the Dr before DH sees him
My brother with dementia is in hospital right now because of sever dyhradtion-- BP was 70/40 refuses water of any type of taste..having SIL talk to doctor about other things he might would drink
