I thought I'd start this thread to discuss who Trump is bringing in to his administration. This will transition us out of the campaign/election mode and into us discussing his preparing-to-govern choices. I'm sure it will continue to be the most politically diverse and interesting group of people we've ever seen. Trump has just announced his White House Chief of Staff...the first woman to hold that position (don't expect the media or the other party to acknowledge this.) He has announced that Susan Wiles, his 2024 presidential campaign manager, will hold that position. Susan is the daughter of Pat Summerall. She is a veteran Florida political strategist, and one of Trump’s most enduring advisers. After playing a key role in securing Florida for Trump in 2020, she effectively acted as his chief of staff during his post-presidency and led his campaign throughout the entire 2024 race for the White House. Current status of appointments Note: Several positions were changed from Accepted to Senate Approval on Nov 22.
While Trump has yet to state what position Robert Kennedy might hold (Trump might create one for him), it's pretty much a given that he will play a major role in reforming our food and pharmaceutical agencies. RFK Jr has already come out swinging at the American food industry: "Why do we have Froot Loops in this country that have 18 or 19 ingredients and you go to Canada and it’s got two or three?" He's already throwing vollies over the heads of FDA officials: Kennedy said that as long as it takes congressional approval to eliminate government agencies, he wouldn’t push to eliminate them. He said he believes he can take the “corruption” out of them instead. “Once they’re not corrupt, once Americans are getting good signs and they’re allowed to make their own choices, they’re going to get a lot healthier,” he said.
Was he in the running, or were a lot of folks just tossing his name out there? Rumor had it that since he retired nearly a year ago, he was not interested in being part of The Machine anymore. This is from today's Washington Examiner article: "I don't want a role in the administration ... even if he asks me," McCarthy told CBS Mornings when asked about the subject. "I think I'm better to serve him from the outside ... I want to help the country [be] successful." Who knows what conversations really occurred. I want to know who Trump's first Press Secretary is gonna be.
I am seeing several names for press secretary, including Don Jr. he speaks really well, and i think that he has the making to be a great press secretary. He stands up for what he wants to say, and still manages to be polite about it. They are talking about Rep. Thomas Massie for secretary of Agriculture, and also Marco Rubio for Sec. of State, which Kennedy is against, saying Rubis is a neocon. It is likely that Tulsi Gabbard and Vivek Ramaswamy are going to show up in there somewhere, and it is interesting as people talk about their choices of who they want Trump to choose. With McConnell leaving this month, someone will be taking over that position as well. I still like Rand Paul, and hope they put him somewhere with Kennedy, so the two of them can go after that louse, Fauci !
I think what Trump accomplished as an outsider during his first term was miraculous, and he openly acknowledges he needs to make better choices this time. My baseline assumption would be that anyone who has built a career in Washington is corrupt, then have each of them prove me wrong.
I read it on MSN.com; story just referenced "sources" close to Trump. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...iE?bncnt=BroadcastNews_TopStories&FORM=BNC001
Hi John, that was a joke from Rosanne btw, hope everybody got that. I am learning a lot about Susie Wiles and I think she sounds like an excellent choice. I also think Alex Jones might be "the right stuff" for Press Secretary. Don Jr. think so, so, I guess we'll see on that one I don't know much about Jones, yet They were also talking about Pompeio but I didn't listen to much. I don't remember what happened with him, but the response what pretty negative about Trump having him back onboard. Which I'm not saying Trump wants him, I don' have any idea, no one said that. I think the whole conversation was just about "will Trump have any of the old cabinet back".
They call her The Ice Maiden, and I say great!! We need all the tough ones we can get No spongie little marshmallow's
Alex Jones has been around for years, with his website and news, but I am not sure that Trump would put him in as Press Secretary, he is pretty controversial. But NO ONE would walk over him, that is for sure. But he is not very tactful, and I think the press sec needs to have both authority and tactfulness. As far as Pompeo, just listen to Tucker about Pompeo. He is the one who wanted and even plotted, to have Juliann Assange murdered , and he also stopped Trump from releasing the truth about the Kennedy assassination, which is problay at least part of the reason that RFK does not like Pompeo. He is 2-faced, just like Pence, and i don’t think that Trump will give him any place in his cabinet,, because he knows how devious Pompeo is. Now that we have the very first ever woman as Chief of Staff for the President, that should show people that Trump is not out to hurt women in any way. But these stupid women that are shaving off their long hair will probably totally miss understanding any of that. Such weird women !
1-Just once, I think Trump should have his handlers bums-rush the media out the door after an event without letting them ask questions, and then let them back in, asking if they miss Biden. 2-No one will give a Republican credit for "the first fill-in-the-blank." GW Bush had the first black female Secretary of State, the first black female Security Advisor, and the first Hispanic Attorney General, and no one acknowledged it. Nor did Bush make a big deal of it.
Republicans also appointed the first Black Supreme Court Justice, which the Dems fought with all the weapons they had, and the first female Supreme Court Justice.
