Elon and Vivek have both said that they will be giving good severance packages for people that they let go. So, any of these people who decide to remove themself are not going to get whatever severance pay that the others will get.
If they are not smart enough to realize that simple fact, then one questions whether they are smart enough to be working there in the first place.

Trump announces his White House Press Secretary shall be Karoline Leavitt, who was the national press secretary for Trump’s presidential campaign. This is another young 'un, at 27 years old.

From Wiki: Leavitt began her career as a summer intern in the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence prior to her senior year in college. Upon her graduation she took a job in the correspondence office before joining the White House Press Office as an assistant press secretary under Kayleigh McEnany. Following the conclusion of the Trump administration she was hired as the communications director for U.S. Representative Elise Stefanik from New York.

In 2022, Leavitt announced her candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives, running as a Republican in New Hampshire's 1st congressional district. She notably ran against 2020 nominee Matt Mowers, former Executive Councilor Russell Prescott, journalist Gail Huff Brown, and State Representative Tim Baxter. The final poll before the primary showed Leavitt losing to Mowers by two points. Leavitt won the primary by about 10 points. Her victory in the Republican primary made her the second member of Generation Z to win a congressional primary after Maxwell Frost who did so the previous month. Leavitt lost in the general election to incumbent Chris Pappas by 8.2% of the vote. Leavitt declined to run in the 2024 election.

Leavitt is married and has a son who was born in 2024.

Very pretty young woman. I'm really happy to see all these young conservative faces.

He's building the future rather than handing out appointments as so many gold watches to guys in walkers.

Our kids were totally jazzed with JD Vance. They all watched every podcast interview with him; he's in their age group so even though they are Trump supporters, JD sealed the deal.

Trump Has Appointed Chris Wright to serve as Secretary of Energy in a statement issued Saturday.

Wright is the CEO of Denver-based energy company Liberty Energy, and has worked in nuclear, solar, geothermal, and oil and gas. The Daily Caller article says that Wright "worked for years" with Burgam (Trump's Interior Secretary), but did not go into detail.

So far, Trump's most beleaguered nominee has been Matt Gaetz, nominee to head the Dept of Justice. In addition to concerns over ethics charges, one issue has been Matt's lack of trial experience. Trump's response is that Matt is the head of that department, not one of the worker bees. Here are some of the worker bees that have been recently announced:

    >Todd Blanche, a veteran of the Southern District of New York, would serve as deputy attorney general. Blanche represented Trump in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s hush money case, in addition to prosecuting a litany of gang-related crimes and other federal offenses.

    >Emil Bove would serve as principal associate deputy attorney general. Bove also represented Trump and, like Blanche, also served in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Bove prosecuted terrorists and international drug traffickers, providing experience with organized crime and border-related affairs.

    >Dean John Sauer, who argued Trump’s presidential immunity case before the Supreme Court, is proposed to serve as his solicitor general, with the task of representing the government in front of that body.

    >Jay Clayton, Trump’s former chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, whom he tapped for the post of U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. The nation’s financial hub would be monitored by its former top regulator.

Many in the Senate are fully on board with these proposed hires. The hurdle now is to sell Gaetz as their capable leader.

Gaetz is going to be a tough sell. I'm still wondering about the wisdom of resigning his seat before confirmation. Seems like that could blow up in his face. (I am not a fan of Gaetz so I really don't care.)

I mentioned before that resigning his seat makes him eligible to be appointed to take Rubio's spot (although I don't know that being a sitting Congresscritter would make him ineligible.) I think another facet to this is that there may be restrictions (legal or informal) against the House releasing the details of their investigation of him now that he is a private citizen.

Again, probably too much TV, but isn't running/quitting an admission of guilt?? If they were innocent of any wrong-doing, why not stand and fight for their jobs? Common sense stuff, plus the fact they shouldn't assume we republican conservatives will falsely charge people just because that's what "the others" do :D

While there may be a particular need to retain a substantial number of current employees in the military and the intelligence agencies, given the necessary training involved (and the likelihood that most of the corruption in these agencies and departments is among the bureaucrats rather than field soldiers and intelligence agents), FDA workers can be more easily replaced. We'd be better off starting fresh with an uncompromised team.

I'll admit that I never cared enough to research the charges against him, but since he was never criminally charged it seems like a moot point. It's like all the crazy libs yelling that Trump is a "convicted rapist" when he is not. People can just exaggerate, lie, and publish whatever they please it seems.

It's laughable that the Democrats would portray Trump's picks as being unqualified when you look at some of the people the Biden Administration chose, and I don't think the Republicans blocked any of them, did they?

He has been "under investigation" literally for years. And as you said, no charges have been brought.
