Well, we spent some quality (?) time with the SIL and her daughter, but boy did the SIL cough a lot. She told us she wasn't contagious and her daughter/our niece confirmed that, but I think she confirmed it thru her mom telling her that she wasn't. The SIL told us it was a nasal infection. Whatever it was, wife and I stuck it out with them while they were here. What is truly funny, but not also, is that Sunday evening, when they left our apartment to go back to the Timeshare, the SIL tried to kiss my wife on the cheek "goodbye". My wife wouldn't let her and was pretty shocked that she even tried. Some people!

This morning, Tuesday, my sore throat seems to be getting better. Wife and I looked at it, in bathroom mirror with a flashlight and are pretty satisfied with how it looks. However, I will wait until Wednesday or Thursday, see how I feel/how it looks, before contacting my VA doctor for any type of medication. I may just beat this with the saltwater gargling and Cepacol lozenges.

They left yesterday afternoon. Glad they're gone, but did have a good time with them. My wife is still concerned at how much/little her sister is taking care of herself, but that's entirely up to her sister.

My throat is much better now (1/2/25). No longer have to do the saltwater gargling. Anyway, for some reason, dear SIL has been, and is still, thinking more about "death". She is 81 now, which is old, but not THAT old. She told us that she asked her one grandson if he would drive her out here for my wife's birthday on January 27th, but he told her he couldn't...........THANK GOD!! IOW, we don't want her to come then or before our move in June. We just have too many things coming up, including my upcoming prostate biopsy next month and possible treatments. Plus, getting things ready for our move up north (Reno area) this coming June.

We do hope that she doesn't find someone who will drive her out here. When she comes to see us in Reno, she will have to fly up.

Glad your throat is better and hope test come out good.
I do understand about sick relatives wanting to visit, I just offer them a tent and games over.
If it offends them I figure nothing like how offending virus is to us seniors. I ask them why come during flu season, supposed to be here Jan.17th.My granddaughter with the 2 yr old and her husband will be staying at morel in town, daughter, son and other granddaughter will be in a storage building in the yard with electricity. Will visit on opposite ends of the front porch.
No huggy, no kissy till I get a hazmat suit.:D
