Marie, I have never heard of floaters going away within 30 minutes. I've had floaters for well over a year now; sometimes it seems like a small bug is buzzing around my face but it's just an eye floater in my peripheral vision. I also occasionally have ocular migraine which does not cause pain but causes a "lightening bolt" or prism effect in my eyesight. Those are temporary, thank goodness.

I didn't realize this, thanks for info Yvonne.

" UOTE="Yvonne Smith, post: 770704, member: 3"]Kidneys are important for heat and also blood pressure regulation, and if you have a kidney function problem, that can cause high blood pressure, but it also happens from when you have heart problems. In my case, it was the a-fib and heart failure that caused my kidney failure. My heart was down to 23%ef, supposed to be over 50% to be out of heart failure, and my kidneys were down to GFR in the med 30’s, and supposed to be over 60 GFR to be out of kidney failure."

    I'm ordering the this today.

I have had something like the lightning bolt happen, too, @Beth Gallagher . I had no idea it was related to a migraine, and I rarely ever have any kind of a headache. Sometimes, I have seen the little black things kind of at the edge of what I am looking at, and both of these things just seem to come and go with no apparent reason for either of them. And the black floaters move around .
I also get strange “electric zaps” that go through my head sometimes, and I have no idea what those are either, or what causes them, but I do not like them when they happen. I do not know how to even describe them, except they seem to kind of feel like a buzz that zips through my head really fast, not quite like an electrical shock, but that is what it reminds me of.
When I get those, if they do not stop, I go to bed and they are usually gone when i wake up.

I hate those darn floaters and lightening bolts! I am hoping when it's time to have my cataract surgery it will take care of them. I'm about 2 years out yet before I can have cataract surgery, according to my eyedoctor. I would like to see better now!!

Sometimes Jake doesn't listen to doctor, so it may be off, but then he sometimes corrects me on it, so who knows.:p The older we get here is like Dumb and Dumber, switching sides.

I think I get the ocular migraine from too much "screen time", Yvonne. These are also known as retinal migraines and have nothing to do with what we know as migraine headache. They don't cause any pain but can cause weird temporary vision issues... "lightening bolt" zigzags, blind spots, or blurry vision.

Your kidneys might be fine, @Marie Mallery . Look at your last bloodwork results, and they should show your GFR %. It is not going to hurt anything if you take the kidney restore, but you might not see any difference if yours are already working at normal amounts.
I like to have my labs done at least every 6 months, and 3 months is okay, too, just so I can monitor where my GFR, thyroid, A1c, and other important lab tests are showing, so I know where I need to focus my attention to improve the situation.

I am totally amazed, and happy that my bone density test is actually better now at almost 80, then it was in 2011, when I was in my 60’s, so keeping up with health info really does help. Usually doctors are good at keeping us scheduled for our lab work .

Beats me. Jake could have some other issue that isn't the same as mine. Heaven knows my memory is like swiss cheese.

Hope it works out not taking it, I know I don't like to take meds either unless I have to. I go to youtube, search engines to help me make some decisions. I like the natural remedies too, like a few you recommended.

I haven't had a migraine for years and then I tried a new supplement and got the 'weird vision'. Not taking them ever again. But I am my own guinea pig.

I think it was ashwaganda. But lots of people take it with no problems.
To get rid of swelling/edema I take potassium. Dr Berg says we need 4200 mg not 99mg a day. We should be getting it in our food but that would be a lot of food.
