I'm an 88 year old former computer programmer, and musician (trombone/electric bass) mostly in the jazz/dance big-band space. Dartmouth BA graduate 1958, Economic Geography. Been here for 13 years...previously in NJ (born there), Rochester, NY (23 years), PA, DE. Divorced 1983...son & I live together in a house on 2+ acres.
Hello Dave and welcome. I must say, I have not heard of Economic Geography. I'm a geezette from Houston.
Technically, the degree is probably officially just Geography, but the department head was into the study of the effects of geographic factors on plant & industry location decisions. Hah, neat...1st time I've heard the geezette variation...your creation?
Wow...the first time I've ever been in contact with anyone in Alaska!. Please forgive my ignorance...is that a moose in your back yard?
Welcome from Atlanta Georgia , last few decades a Floridian. Jake Smith here is a musician, singer and guitar, keyboard, mostly guitar. Not so much classic unless it's rock, some country.
Yep, that is exactly that--a moose in our backyard. We have a small lake in the backyard so the moose was crossing to the other side. Pretty dark and -5 F. this morning.
Welcome from Henderson, Nevada. However, due to very high heat here in the summer, will be moving to northwest Nevada area next year. We miss the smell/sight of livestock and mountains (with trees and wildlife). IOW, we will be returning to "Old Man Winter", but not nearly as bad as northern Colorado was. I'm a former Indiana farmer, U.S. Navy and rodeo cowboy. I know a lot about computer stuff and have been married to a beautiful Christian lady that loves rodeo as much as I do. In one year, will be married 25 years. We are in our mid 70's.
