Hi all. I'm a 68 year old Lymphoma survivor and professional screenwriter with four movies produced and released since 2020. My mission now is to inspire others with my own story and the stories I tell. And I'm happy to be a new member here, where I can hopefully inspire and entertain. With that in mind, I invite you to check out this short video of a new sport my rescue dog, Koda, and I created. I hope it brings a smile to your faces!
Welcome to the forum @Larry Postel. All I ca say is I am glad I am not the neighbor living behind you.
Hi Larry and welcome, from another "Big C" survivor. Koda looks like a good boy. Is that artificial turf in your yard?
Welcome to the forum, Larry. I want to know how you got your dog to poop in a straight line like that (at least, I think I do.) Regarding Flinga...it reminds me too much of my working years.
Larry, if you run out of ammunition I could find you some nice frozen horse apples from friends. My sheep produce is too small. Welcome to the gang!!!
Hi all -- and thanks for your warm reception! In terms of my backyard where I play Flinga with Koda, yes, it's artificial turf for year-round Flinging. Regarding my neighbor, we live on a greenbelt with nothing behind us -- so my neighbor doesn't need to worry. However, I have to admit that I have shanked a few shots I don't think I'm going to run out of any "ammunition" soon. Koda's got plenty! I wish you all a very happy and healthy Christmas and New Year. During my downtime this year, I decided to combine my filmmaking skills and my love of rescue dogs -- hence, Flinga. Please feel free to share it to anyone you know who might enjoy it. If it becomes popular and it's monetized somehow on YouTube via advertising, I'm going to donate 100% of the proceeds to worthy dog rescues and shelters. I doubt it will ever generate any money, because I know it would need to have views in the millions. Still, if it gives good people like you a chuckle, then it's definitely worth it! Thanks again!
Thank you, Ken. Glad to be a member. I hope I can inspire everyone by my own story and the stories I tell -- and vice versa!
Yes, Beth, that is artificial turf. Congrats on being a fellow survivor -- and I wish you a very Happy and Healthy New Year!
Just got back to the thread, been very busy, you see, Jake and I are also rescuer's. We have 4 recue dogs now, two new ones since last month. We have always owned straw dogs and cats, [no cats lately since I became allergic], Hope you like the forum and hang around.
