Truth is elusive. Mind control is a fact of life. The mass media determines our opinion and money controls the mass media. The exceptions to this rule have no power because of the way democracy works. A leader is only in power by pandering to support groups and powerful corporations. This means that political correctness is enforced and we will meekly submit. Legislation and public opinion will dampen the enthusiasm of truth-seekers and other radicals. That is why the victor in almost every war is proved right. The victor gets to write the history and control the propaganda afterward. So it happens that, of the hundreds of US military operations around the world in the last century, we "know" we were always the good guys. Sometimes we hear that the US is the most hated country on Earth. This is obviously a gross exaggeration. People only hate us because we love freedom, not because we routinely interfere and force our will on others.. Everyone else is wrong. We are always right. I believe that.
