The station cut-in to my wife's regularly watched "Bones", with a diatribe going on by Trump. Normally, I get to see the segments of "Wheel of Fortune" during her commercials. Tonight, I got most of the "Wheel"!

She will not look at or listen to, Trump, for a single moment, labeling him boorish (he is). So, muted, we watched nothing. After fruitless requests, she relented, for a few minutes. This allowed me one of the first glimpses of Trump performing. I gotta say, he was impressive given an anti-Hillary audience. His "presence" is fair, believability good, delivery not overly impressive. His statements regarding Syria, ISIS, Hillary's extremely dubious status during Benghazi, were "on the money" as I am aware of them.

So, would I vote for Hillary? Jesis Maria Nigda! (Jesus and Mary, Never).

Would I vote for Trump? Probably, but not as the "lesser of two evils" thing. Trump is a businessman, and though he has cast poor judgment in the past running those businesses, despite several monumental sub-business bankruptcies, he is fully aware that "payroll eats up your business". I am hoping against hope that if elected, he will trounce those Washington jobs related to Government, "internships" is the only word I know, as a start to trimming off the FAT. Apparently, there are multiple thousands of intern jobs assigned to higher-echelon folks in Washington, close to ten-thousand, on the payroll, giving back WHAT to the American public?

Trump being a businessman, albeit not as successful a businessman, supposedly, as he paints himself to be, must know full-well that PAYROLL eats businesses. The gov't. payroll is bloated beyond excess, has been for a long time. I suspect herein lies the concerns of those Republicans who oppose him. Their own "fat cities" might crumble were he President. MORE POWER TO HIM, then! OTOH, who knows what ulterior motives might lurk in his mind? As President, he would stand to become even far richer. Would he do this for that? Dunno. Dunno the man's true "fabric". Ya never know that until after the fact. Then, too late. Frank

When you consider that he has run more than five hundred businesses, some of which he bought while they were already in trouble, a few bankruptcies aren't all that significant.

Hmmm, I just assumed you were a Trump fan from the beginning, guess I was wrong about you. Also, assumed
You were at best an agnostic and there you go using Jesus and Mary. :)

I've also never though of as anyone becoming President for the money, though it's true they make a lot in speeches and books, etc after their term is over.

Whatever his motives are, as long as he does good for the country, who cares. Most people have motives for doing what they do.

@Chrissy Page Ha, Ha! The quote about Jesus and Mary dates way back to 1976, shortly after I was separated from my wife, and my Mother came out to Vegas to live with me in a little shack I bought. My mother, always gregarious, made friends with a lady across the the street, who had moved with her 16 year old grandson from Hemet, CA. My Mother asked her is she would ever consider moving back there. Her response was in Czech, a language she happened to share with my Mother. "Nigda" means, emphatically never.

We joked about it forever, referring to her as "old lady Nigda".

Maybe my father is right - never join a discussion about politics or religion. But anyway, the problem with a 2-party system is that you have to choose the lesser evil. Old timers here say that we had that before with the Liberal Party and the Nacionalista party. Obviously our political system was patterned after America's and it was only changed by the 1987 constitution. Now we have the multi-party system and in the last presidential election last May of this year, there were 5 candidates for president. I don't know which is better between the 2-party and the multi-party system because I think in both cases, you have to choose the lesser evil.

With Trump, I have this feeling that he would be the next president of the US. Just a gut feel.

I had considered giving it a title but wasn't sure what you might have wanted it to be.

@Ken Anderson Ha! At this point, I'm not sure about it's origin anymore. No big thing, like issues which crop up day to day, seemingly of utmost importance and potential impact, if they are given time to coalesce, often the final realization of their importance surfaces: very little.

@Ken Anderson So far, I have been unable to "read" your true intent. No biggie, but I know I entered a title, and somehow it was lost. However, I, too, like threads to have titles. So, for right now, my thread's title is "!".

Evidently the title represents something worthy of responding to, to some, but what, I don't know. So long as folks keep reading my drivel without expressing the desire to "dilute" me, I won't shrivel away. Strength is a displayed virtue, easily "swiked" away by the stroke of one stronger than the possessor of strength. Thus far, no one has "swiked".

With rare exceptions, my true intent is exactly what I say.
