I watched the Lone Ranger faithfully. They may have been summer reruns at the time. Also the Gene Autry show. I think Autry made several short movies that also played on TV. I even vaguely remember one about some bandits that hid out in a big cave. lol
He made several movies, and about a year ago I sat through one of his serials, I believe had 15 chapters.
The intro fit perfectly to the action on the screen. William Tell Overture pretty enjoyable on its own.
Although I rarely watched Bonanza, it played at our house because my dad watched it. All that I have to do is see the name and the jingle song gets stuck in my head.
I love that intro. -Ride horse -Punch random guy in black in the jaw, guy falls off mountainside -Ride horse That about sums them all up.
I always thought they should have had a series about a mild mannered banker who fought crime after hours and on holidays.. They could have called it "The Loan Arranger".
