My next door neighbor left this place Yesterday at 96, at UCLA hospital. She was in there for 5 days I believe after 2 falls in 2 days. Second fall the paramedics took her to hospital. She was fiercely independent, she had to be, she struggled financially, and one son sent her money each month to help with rent. She and I shared a lot of health information and no politics to speak of, she was tuned into mainstream TV and got only that stuff. She never got a computer, so lived her days reading the LA Times, rag paper.... Bless You Pearl, Rest In Peace...,
I am sorry for the loss of your good friend and neighbor, @Joy Martin . I know that you have mentioned her several times in your posts and you will be missing her a lot. It is good that she was in a hospital with people around her, and didn’t not just die alone in her apartment. Hoping that you get a good neighbor to replace her.
Thanks Yvonne, she lived in an apt bldg next door, and we have not seen each other in years since I am so damaged from hip jobs and she had her share....we hardly talked that much in recent months, it was her time and as I said no more Pain....Thank you. And yes it's good she didn't die alone on her floor in apt. j
Sorry about your friend ,but as you say she is no longer in pain, but they are very precious to have. I know you will miss her.
Sorry about your friend. I miss several good friends and often thing to pick up the phone when I remember again, they have moved on. But there is no more suffering for them and Pearl.
