I love Michael Pena or not sure I would have watched this movie. It would have been my loss not to know the true story it tells of a child's dream, and where he started from, and becomes the first Migrant Farmer to ever become an Astronaut, not to mention his many other accomplishments. I hope if you get the chance to see it, you won't hesitate. I do think it's release is somewhat timely, good or bad timing, not sure. But looking away from our border crisis and idiot government long enough to watch this, was really nice. I remembered what our country used to be about (never perfect) but certainly better than today: A Million Miles Away (2023) One more thing, how I pray that we still have teachers like the one portrayed as the grade-school teacher in this movie ♥️
I think you will Marie It's no academy award winner, it's too real'life, and heartfelt to get an award from Holly'weird
The first movie I saw Michael Pena in was "Shooter" with Mark Wahlberg. It's extra good to think of now as he goes up against a US government that's corrupt, sound familiar I wasn't a fan of Wahlberg's, but the story behind it was so good and he to me was excellent in the role. That's another movie I can watch over again after a year or two. Pena, I forgot to mention, I just fell in love with his acting. I think he's under-rated but that's just my opinion. I rarely watch a movie, don't even like TV, try to keep busy doing other things. But I took a chance on "A Million Miles Away" and was glad I did
You have a good evening too Denise. Typing out your name I just found another name to put in the Music thread, Songs With Names, lol, I'll tag you.
We will check out the Shooter later on. Thanks for another movie suggestion. Found the trailer, it looks violent but will see.
