What would have Palin have done that would have needed rescuing? I don't really remember a lot about her really.
She pushed through legislation that nearly drove the entire energy industry out of Alaska. Basically, the higher the price of oil, the higher the tax rate. At one point when the price of oil was at $140 a barrel, the oil companies were losing money on every barrel, as the taxes were higher than what they got for the oil, so production was cut as much as possible without ruining the wells. Several companies just up and left Alaska at that time.
I guess I shouldn't comment on someone I know so little about, . Plus, I forgot some of what I did know.
Palin has this national reputation for being a conservative, but she really isn't. She likes to tax and spend like any Democrat.
I'll just say what little I know about Palin I liked. Plus she can see Russia from her back yard, how many people can say that! Or did she?
She never said that. That was from a Tina Fey parody of her. What she actually said was, "You can see Russia from Alaska" which IS true.
