I was against going off the gold standard. I am against digital currency with the 'dark state' in control. The FED has been counterfeiting our money since inception along with other people and groups. And now groups are making fake 'valuable' collectible coinage. Go to temu.com and search collectible coins.
Buy collectibles from a known source. I would not suggest the internet unless from a reputable precious metals dealer. NEVER from a TV ad.
I would advise staying away from Temu.com for all reasons. If ever there was a website that shouts rip-off that one does. To be fair I have heard one person brag about buying a lot of clothes there and the fabulous bargains they are but I have heard others complain about the junk they received when they ordered or that they felt deceived by the descriptions. I don’t like the no cash/digital only push that’s currently going on either.
Temu is like a drug. So much fun stuff for very little until it all adds up on your credit card. I must say, their processing is very efficient. But I bought one coin just to see if it looked as good as the pictures. It did and it is scarey, like every thing else.
I have a friend who collects coins. He occasionally fills in his collection via EBay, but only buys Fair or Poor condition coins that way. He showed me one he got from EBay where the obverse and the reverse were pretty well worn, but the ridges with Mint. Apparently the thing was found in a drain. If a coin is in circulation, then the whole thing gets wear. If it gets stuck in a drain when relatively new, the edges stay Fine and the rest erodes. Interesting, huh?
https://www.yahoo.com/news/mexicos-peso-soaring-thats-bad-100025293.html Darn the US dollar! It is making Mexicans poor. They may have to go home. The dollars they have been sending home to Mexico have lost 18% to the Mexican Peso!
I have read that it is happening some. Of course, there is much more traffic this way than that, but I guess this isn't the paradise some thought it was going to be. China has been creating jobs there as well, so there is now more employment south of the border than there used to be.
