    I agree with what he has written, especially with the "They are unlikely to learn" conclusion. What bothers me the most was echoed by a friend who held local office here for a period of time. He said that people don't care about an issue until it affects them personally. Hanson took it one step further, eliminating the excuse of ignorance and denial, stating “What I create for others, certainly will not apply to me and mine.” Yeh it will.

    Yeah, a lot of Progressives/Liberals think that way. It only affects others, as we have seen with the reaction of the Northeast and upper Midwest to the immigration issue. It was a wonderful thing until it started taking THEIR tax dollars, THEIR jobs, and creating crime in THEIR neighborhoods. Suddenly it is a crisis where none existed before. The turnabout by Eric Adams is a prime example.
