Do any of you use electric shavers? We are thinking about getting one for my husband and
this is one subject I don't know much about. Are they better than using razors? Is there a particular brand that you prefer...if so...why?

    Any feedback will be appreciated.

I'm using a 1980 Norelco I bought in 1984 at a garage sale. Six or eight years ago I bought a new Norelco but
like my old one better. I gave the new to my son who still uses it. I've used other razors but favor what I have. I
sometime use a disposal blade to trim my mustauche and get the hairs missed on my neck, which is a bundle
of wrinkles. As one grows older the electric shave is saver, me thinks. Others may have different opinions. It's
really a personal choice but if not usd an electric razor, the mind has no comparison.

I have used a Braun Electric Shaver for over 30 years.

I use both. The electric razor is fine for most days but they don't (or at least mine doesn't) give a close shave so, for that, I use a regular razor.

Babs, I'm not a man but I can tell you what my hubby did. As long as he shaved every day, the electric razer worked great. But if he missed a day, he would shave with a regular razor.

I've tried electrics off & on, but never found one that can shave as closely as a double-blade (Trac-II)

Since I retired, I'll sometimes go a week or longer without shaving, so I use one of these to cut it back so I can use a Trac II:

With the exception of sporting something akin to a mustache, I do not have enough of a beard to worry about. And even if did, I have never kibitzed a lady about her leg or armpit stubble so .............

Besides, from what I see on the celebrities and the way the ladies seem to swoon over them, a 2 day shadow is supposed to be sexy I guess. Oh well, that’s something I could never achieve anyway.

I gotta agree...every close shave I've had has involved a lady.

A two day beard, dress shoes and no socks. Nothing makes sense anymore.

I once went eight years without shaving, except for a little around the edges. When I decided to shave it off one day, people I'd worked with for years thought I was with the temp agency that was used for some of the grunt work.

    Yep.
I’ve seen some men who were so closely shaved that not only did the stubble go down the drain but the house, car, bank account.....all of it down the drain.

I use to use an electric Norelco, but just couldn't shave close enough with it, so I turned to a razor. I now use the electric to trim my mustache some and trim some head hair, that gets to long, around the top of my ears.

But, my total choice for shaving is a razor.

I have a set of Wahl color-coded clippers to cut my hair above, and a Remington shaver. Its been great, but I have a light beard.

I Don't, but I am not trying to grow a beard or mustache either. I have no valid reason to shave every day and every two or three days is fine with my electric razor. I feel more comfortable clean shaven.
