My dog, Daisy, has arthritis and a degenerative nerve condition. She’s on meds for the arthritis and about a year ago, she started getting acupuncture every four weeks at my vet’s. It’s made a world of difference in her life. She seldom limps and is in no pain. The nerve problem isn’t curable and, eventually, she will be paralyzed, but these treatments have allowed me to have her for a while longer. I don’t know what I will do when she’s gone.
We had to put Radar our chi-weenie down in August he had just turned 15. However one of the girls brought us a mostly German Shepherd right before Radars passing. Not the same but it helps. We have had to go thru pet loss several times in our 33 yrs together.
I’ve had cats for many years and have lost 6. Daisy is my first and will be my only dog. I’m crying now, as I do every time I think of that inevitable day.
