I don't know if you read the story about the National Park Service removing all the signs in Glacier National Park that reported "All these glaciers will be gone by the years 2020." Many of the glaciers here are also growing, but that is not reported in the press.

She makes $174,000 a year (with most of her expenses paid) and is asking for a $4,500 raise.

It is quite obvious that whilst AOC hasn’t yet accomplished anything to merit her salary but I do believe that the lobbyists also know that she isn’t worth the millions that they pay the other rich congress persons so she simply has to survive on the taxpayer’s dole.

Please sir, may I have more porridge? :(

I think she should receive a Nobel Peace Prize for what she might do...just like Obama.

A strange occurrence. AOC was recently giving an interview on New York City Radio in which she gave an “I think so” in regard to dismantling the DHS.
She’s always advocated for the fall of ICE and was asked about it on the radio but when the interviewer informed her that ICE belongs to the DHS and then asked if the DHS should be dismantled to get rid of ICE. Her infamous answer is as follows: “I think so”.
It seems that there is very little thinking in her response and as a matter of opinion, virtually none at all.

I wrote, “a strange occurrence” because AOC is from New York. A city where everyone remembers the fall of the Twin Towers, an event which spurred the development of the DHS in the first place.

    From Yahoo today:

An anonymous Democratic group leaked a poll that shows swing voters deeply dislike Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the left wing, widening the party's rift
    • An anonymous Democratic group leaked an internal poll to Axios on Sunday that shows "swing voters" deeply dislike prominent progressive lawmakers, deepening a public rift within the party.
    • The poll found that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had a 22% approval rating and Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota had a 9% approval rating among 1,003 "likely general-election voters who are white and have two years or less of college education" and knew of the two outspoken lawmakers.
    • "If all voters hear about is AOC, it could put the [House] majority at risk," a Democrat involved in the 2020 congressional races told Axios. "She's getting all the news and defining everyone else's races."
    Shocking. :D

Yeah Axios even had a comment added to ensure that everyone reading realized that the 9% approval was "not a typo".:)

An ANTIFA nutter attacked an ICE camp in Washington and was killed

Only reported by a couple of news out lets.

One reported that found on his body was the refrence to Concentration camps... might not be true BUT

When asked about this AOC refused to comment

Socialism is a political ideology that started with Plato. It's original meaning was that people did not need a leader or ruler, but could live in harmony. People would live together in a community and share what they had--barter system if you will. Plato believed that government and the elite bled the people. Throughout the centuries, philosophers tweaked it. Hume, Locke, Wolff, Leibniz, Rousseau, Kant all had versions of it, and then Marx put his spin on it. The ideology became communism--to live in a community without a leader but to have a dictator oversee things if there was ever a disagreement. From there, it became Napoleonism, Leninism, pacifism, fascism, and then Nazism. The truth of socialism was learned by Lenin--he turned the government into a socialist country and the people began to starve to death, He reverted the country back to capitalism, and then Stalin installed Stalinism--plain ol' tyranny. What you refer to are social programs which started in Bavaria/Prussia before WWI. Otto von Bismarck, German chancellor to the Kaiser, got the idea from Napoleon. People will riot and protest less if they have something to lose. Social programs provide for the poor, the unemployed, the sick, and the retired. Our social programs basically follow the same idea, but when the US started implementing the programs under Roosevelt, people were living in tent cities and starving to death. The rich do not want to give up their millions and billions and will work the poor into an early grave. People were dying by the hundreds yearly from factory and mining incidences, and not making enough to feed their family... lol I'll stop here.
But no, our social programs are not socialism. I shake my head every time I hear it used by politicians and people who are against it because they are both wrong.
