This is a very interesting read. I almost posted it in the government section because there's a government slant on this, as well as being an expose on the New York Times. Be sure to read the follow up documentation of the conversation between the author and Times employees.

It is indeed a good read @Diane Lane and more importantly since it comes from who seems to be a bonafide journalist.
The "who, what, when, and where" of good journalism is lost when said writers believe it to be their job to enter their own personal perspective as to another word, "why". Subjectivity is a forgotten term and objectivity the mainstay along with an obvious misunderstanding between the terms, quantification versus qualification.

The old Will Rogers routine of "believing none of what I read and only half of what I hear" has been a good habit of mine for some time now, especially during the last presidential voting period.
It used to be that a journalist could lose all credibility and the job he or she held for displaying anything other than absolute fact but now it seems that our major news resourses like the N.Y. Times have taken on vast similarities of something like the National Enquirer.

All I could think of after reading it was "selling your soul to the devil". What people are capable of doing for money and power, and too late they find out what is really important in life, if they find out at all:( Some of the things that come to mind are honor, integrity, humility, and what about laying your own life down for another.

Thanks so much for the article Diane.

Y'all are welcome. I'm happy to share gems like this that I come across. I spend my weekly conversations with my mother explaining what is actually going on in the world, since she only hears what the liberal news in Massachusetts tells her. She then disseminates it to my sister and brother. It's really crazy, and it sickens me how much power and influence these people have because they have platforms that many respect. I hope we're seeing the fall of the mainstream media. They deserve it, because of how they have twisted the truth and promoted lies.
